This duster is great for dusting objects, furniture, and decor in your home. It doesn't leave any fibers or dust on the items being cleaned and holds the dust well, unlike a Swiffer, where one shake sends dust to the floor. You can clean it effectively by shaking it outside or over a trash can; most of the dust comes off after a few uses. The product says you can wash it with cold water, which I tried after about four uses when some dust remained. Washing did remove all the dust, but it took a day to dry completely. I used a towel to absorb most of the excess water and let it air dry. If it didn't take so long to clean, I’d give it five stars, but given the time it takes, you might be better off with a Swiffer.

This thing is a hoot! Didn't know if I was going to like it but I love it. Went all through the house the day it came and easily did lamp shades, ceiling fan light fixtures, picture frames and glass on flat screens in all rooms in no time at all (keywords: easily, no time at all). Wow! Dust doesn't go flying. It's 'trapped' in the fibers. The head comes loose from the handle easily. I plan to put it in a hosiery bag to launder to provide some extra protection for the fibers. I also plan to buy one additional replacement head so I can always have it at the ready! I am looking for tools to add to my arsenal to make housekeeping quicker and easier. This tool definitely qualifies! It gets into odd shaped spaces with ease (EX: accordian pleated lamp shades, picture frame corners, etc). Would definitely caution about using it casually on knick knacks, however, because individual strands of the head could catch in some part of the knick knack and pull it off the shelf. Product designers: one thing that would make this a little nicer is to add a telescoping feature to the handle. It wouldn't need an awful lot more length but a little extra length would be very useful.

I bought this duster to dust around knick knacks and other areas where I felt the hand duster from the same brand would have trouble. My expectations were not met whatsoever. At 8 inches wide, this little duster is far too wide and fluffy to be of much use. You can see in one of the attached images that the duster is over half the size of the larger hand duster. While is does grab some dust, it pushes more dust around that it picks up. The duster is also very dense and -- again -- fluffy, and thus doesn't get into tight spaces or corners, and just pushes around the items which I am trying to dust; potentially knocking them off of shelves. The fluffy fibers also like to get stuck on many things since they are so light and tangled together. I've had them catch on the raw wood of a model hurdy gurdy, the tines of a kalimba, and the arms of a figurine. The figurines in one of the attached images are 5 inches tall, and the treasure chest is 3.5 inches wide. The speaker on which they sit is 8 inches wide. Yet, this duster makes everything in the image look very small because it is just so dang big and fluffy. It's not completely useless, though. It does dust surfaces well enough, I suppose. However, surfaces are exactly why I bought the larger hand duster from the same brand. The larger hand duster dusts surfaces perfectly as is cheaper here on Amazon than this fluffy thing. I'm sure I'll find a use for this guy somewhere, but right now it's just a fluffy disappointment.

This duster couldn’t be any better for dusting electronics or other delicate things like Knick knacks, candles and candle holders. The head clicks off to the handle to allow you to machine wash it. I had a glass dish with a cover that cracked in my dishwasher and after sending a picture to the customer service team, it was replaced quickly. I will always buy OXO products. They have a lifetime customer!

Nice little duster. easy to clean, just rinse out and let air dry. Picks up dust very well and material is light enough to pick up dust and not disturb positioning of objects.
