Good little laser diode. Quite powerful! Be careful with the supply voltage as they will burn out.

Good value for money
You get a lot of lasers for your your money, I tested all of them and found no faulty units. The collimating lens is focus-able as it is mounted in a threaded collar, this is not clear from the description photos.They can be run from direct 5v, but I don't know if this would be good for their lifespan, the couple I have used in projects I have used a dropping resistor to clamp the current to 20mA (pretty typical for LEDs) and they still produce a strong beam. There is quite a lot of light leakage from the back of the barrel which is open.

I wanted one of these to work as a pointer for my laser engraver
I wanted one of these to work with my 20 Watt Adams stack laser engraver as a offset pointer. I managed to find one of them that would be ideal for that the rest I will use on other projects. Such as automatic bed levelling and height indicator.
