Advanced technology has finally come to the common ground stake. The patent pending X3 Anchor Stake is amazingly strong. It combines all the advantages of plastic with the strength of metal, the benefits of titanium without the cost. The X3 will not bend like plastic stakes, will not rust like metal. The head will not mushroom, so pound it in place with whatever you have available and when you need to remove the X3, grab it with your multi-tool, wrench or hand and twist it with an upward motion and back it out. Our stakes are the perfect application for camping, backpacking, around the house or on the job. We believe that you will be impressed with the X3, so we guarantee it. ***X3 9" Anchor Stakes are used with the SUREswivel, swiveling pet tie-out base.****

Best stakes I know of and a great tip for you people with tarps
These are the lightest and most durable tent or tarp stakes I know about, check out the test of them on youtube.Go to youtube and look up - X3 Anchor Stake ComparisonYou can also buy the 7" X3 Anchor Stakes, but I would only do that if the soil you're putting them in is solid hard soil. But if you're dealing with softer soil, then I would go with these longer stakes, because you don't want the stakes to come out of the dirt very easily if it starts blowing hard. So in soft soil go as deep into the dirt as possible. If you are staking down a tarp, then here is a fantastic way of easily folding up a tarp.Go to youtube and look up - Folding a Hutchie or TarpThe only thing that would make these stakes better is if they were made to have a bright color that is easy to see, so you don't lose them as easily.

They work
I use these to stake my awning wind screens on an RV. They are more effective than normal steel straight stakes because of the twist the wind doesn't gradually pull them out as much. They don't fit through small gamuts so be mindful. They are made of hard plastic. Can't say enough good things about the seller "Hatched Development", they read my review complaining about the price and actually lowered it significantly which make them a much better value. They sent me a pack of their smaller 6" twisted stakes that worked well with smaller gamuts on my screen. After a few weeks, the stakes have held up very nicely, they don't pull out from wind rocking nearly as much as straight stakes and despite the hard ground and hitting a few rocks, not one has broken.

You need these stakes for camping on the beach!
First time camping in my new tent, and I noticed somewhere that I'd need something other than the standard-issue stakes for the beach. I purchased these and crossed my fingers. Come time to make camp, these stakes were pretty much what I needed! While the tent next to mine kept pulling up its stakes in the stiff breeze (only the cooler inside anchored it down), these stakes kept my tent's guy lines securely planted. I'll be ordering another set for the corners of the tent itself.

I bought these because they looked like they would work well in the crushed stone pads ...
Bought these for my r-pod r-dome tent (tent for my teardrop camper). I bought these because they looked like they would work well in the crushed stone pads we usually park the camper on, and also stake the tent on. Finally got to use them, and they go in easier then aluminum or steel stakes, and when they hit a rock, they don't bend, and the top doesn't mushroom. With a few good whacks, I can usually get them through any rocks in their way. They are a bit difficult to twist out, had to use the claw of the hammer on some of them, and the tips do get beat up, but I should get a year or two out of them.

I wouldn't carry anything else.
I bought these stakes because the standard stakes that came with my MSR tent didn't hold well at all in the sandy rocky soil of Caprock Canyon. I haven't been back to that same place to check them but I have been on at least ten other trips from Minnesota to Texas and they hold better than anything else I have tried and don't get bent up if I hit a rock like aluminum. An added advantage is that I can step on them when I am barefooted without hurting my foot.I definitely recommend them. I wish they were in an easier to find color though.

I sued these to anchor some holiday yard decorations, to replace the cheap, smooth metal stakes they provide. These held unbelievably well in my grass and dirt yard. They sustained several days of high winds and snowy weather. It was a bit of a challenge to pull them back out but not too bad. I am very confident these are going to replace my regular tent stakes this Summer.

Vender is Aweseom!
This vendor is awesome! handled an issue without a problem. The stakes are great and sturdy, I had an issue with two of the 12 I bought but that was taken care of by the vendor in a timely fashion. These stakes are sturdier that one would think for something so light. Buy these!

Stakes holding
So far, so good. I have the stakes holding up my deck umbrellas. We have had 50 mile per hour winds and the stakes are holding.
