Replacement Large Granite Pestle 20 Cm. Perfect Size for Mortar Size 7

I am pleased with this product. It is larger than I expected but works very effectively.

Large heavy stone, exactly what was looking for. I have a large stone mortar that's been in my family couple generations now, but the pestle was wood and probably not original. In the name of saving work I upgraded. Very happy with this choice. It is heavy and sturdy and does most of the pressing down work. High quality look and feel.

I have had a Thai granite mortar for over 5 years but have on more than 3 occasions dropped the pestle and it broke in halve each time. I can use the bottom of the broken pestle and they work very well. I do like have a whole pestle and this is a perfect replacement for a broken pestle. This is a high quality Thai granite pestle. I would gladly purchase it again.

I like that it is large. I have a large mocajete but it came with a very short (3 inch) pestle which made it difficult for me to use. This pestle makes it so much easier.

Ahh, now this packs a punch and makes quick work of the task at hand. Had to breakdown pepperoni slices for a person with a swallowing problem. Can't do a small amount in a processor, but can do it with this pestle. It didn't alter the flavor of the toppings on the pizza and allowed the person to enjoy eating it with all the flavors intact. Simple is better.

This thing is useless and dangerous. I tested it using my white stone mortar, and it consistently leaves dark powdery lines against the white stone. This piece of junk is literally disintegrating when used. Solid granite would not do that. I'm not sure how this was constructed, or what it was made from, but don't buy it unless you want powdered mystery material in your food.Also, I didn't really notice from the picture, but the tip is not really rounded enough, which would make it a little awkward to use. Not that you'd want to use this thing anyway, but if hypothetically it didn't leave bits of itself behind, it's shape would still make it less than ideal.But wait, there's more! The handle part is coated with some shiny stuff that I assume they sprayed on it to improve the grip. It does improve the grip, but it feels sticky. All the time. Even after washing it three times with lots of soap.What a disappointment.
