I bought 2 of these staplers 6 years ago, for home and office. Still going strong and works amazingly well. Flattest staples of any other staples I have ever used. Almost never jams, even after my kids abuse it. Only downside, if you ever want to remove a staple, it's a bit harder to grasp with most staple removers as the staple is so flat. Great product.

These staplers cost a bit more, but the initial one I bought has had a much longer lifespan that other staplers I've purchased that too quickly develop a jammed staple and you are at a loss to fix it! I have now ordered three of them in total precipitated by the first one failing, but it may be my fault because I did not use the staples that are said to match this particular stapler. I haven't tried that hard yet to fix the one that is nonfunctional, but I liked it so much I decided to just buy two more because I have a LOT of work to do! And, it has been clearly superior to its competition---but do buy the staples they recommend to go with this product. Perhaps that has been my error. Always follow the directions, huh? It does help in life. With the two new staplers that arrived this week. I have made a point of inserting the staples I bought (but did not use) that are recommended to go with this product. We'll see if it makes a difference! Staplers seem to be finicky gadgets. They work, then don't work, and then /aybe you can get them to work. Augh! But still, this is among the best of the bunch and I recommend it. November 15, 2020 i am returning to put an addendum in this review.\ I blieve I left where I had purchased THREE of these staples, each time with resulting frustration. Why would they jam so quickly? I eventually did what we all should and read the instructions by the manufacturer for the use of this stapler. I had presumed any standard size stapler SHOULD work, but if you read the description supplied by the manufacturer, it says to USE ONLY A SPECIFIED STAPLE THAT IS PICTURED ON THE MAIN PAGE AND CAN BE PURCHASED WITH THE STAPLER. SO I BOUGHT THESE STAPLES. PERFECT. STAPLER NO LONGER JAMS. ALL THREE STAPLERS ARE NOW FUNCTIONAL. WELL, MAYBE ONCE IN A BLUE MOON THERE'S A JAM, BUT THIS IS ABOUT THE CLOSE TO PERFECT THAT YOU WILL GET FOR A STAPLER. i HEARTILY RECOMMEND, AND NOW i HAVE THREE OF THESE BEAUTIES SCATTERED AROUND MY OFFICE. BUT BE SURE TO BUY THE STAPLES RECOMMEND BY THE MANUFACTURER!!!! STAPLER IS ALSO STURDY. THEY FALL OFF MY OVERBURDENED DESK WITH REGULARITY ON TO THE FLOOR. NOT A PRBOLEM. I originally bought this for coin collecting. It is by far the most recommended (and sold) stapler on many coin collecting sites. You need a solid stapler to go through coin flips. This one does that beautifully and staples regular paper with ease. I was incredibly frustrated with the staplers that tout their ergonomics, or stand up on your desk nicely. They're garbage. They jam and can barely staple through more than a few sheets. The Max stapler is just incredible. It has never jammed. It just works, uses regular staples and has never, ever, ever done anything but just work perfectly. It also is designed so that it doesn't require a lot of pressure to staple. Compare that to banging on another brand of stapler only to find it jams right away. This also staples flat. I didn't even know what that was until I got it. Other staplers curve the staples so your papers or coin flips don't lie flat. This puts in staples so that they are flat and everything stacks neatly. Throw away your other staplers and get this one. It's like the Lexus of staplers. It's one of those rare products that if you ever lost it (or it got destroyed), you'd replace it again in a second because the alternatives can never measure up.

I first started using this stapler in 2004 when I worked for the Federal government. I had never used a stapler that could actually staple through a large stack of paper. I never counted the sheets, but i know it was a lot more than most staplers could handle. It never jammed. it never broke. It was easy to use. Then I changed agencies in 2008. I took this stapler with me. Then, sniff sniff, it broke. i figured out how to fix it and I gave it to another office worker since I had purchased another one. The new one was different from the old in that a metal part inside the mechanism was replaced with plastic. However, it made no difference. In fact that metal part is what broke on the old one, so I guess the plastic actually works better. The new MAX has worked for 5 years, which is far longer that any other one I've used at home (and which never get as much use or abuse as my work office MAX). Also, I use regular staples with my MAX and they work just fine. You should not have to bother finding special staples. I had a Swingline stapler at home that was pretty good, but it broke after just a couple of years of light use. I just bought the MAX to replace it from Amazon. (So happy to find it.) When i retire, I have asked for only one item to come home with me -- you guessed it, my MAX stapler. I am such a nerd.

Mixed revi0ew. This is my second purchase. The first broke after about six months of relatively heavy use, and I had a good bet invested in the staples (they are far more expensive than regular staples) so I decided to take a chance and buy another one. I won't buy more staples for this until my supply is depleted and this one proves to be durable. That said, it is very easy to use. You don't have to slam your hand on the stapler like I did on my older regular stapler. It really magnifies your effort. The flat clinch staples are truly nicer than standard staples. My wife is a teacher and it is nice that after using this stapler the packets lay pretty much flat. I use it to close paper and mylar coin 2x2's and I used to have to use pliers to flatten the backs of staples so they wouldn't scratch other coins in stacks and boxes. That isn't necessary with this stapler. If this one is more durable than the last it is a five star.

Good at work and home, easier to operate! Heavy and do it job!!! High recommendations!!!! I try many brands, but MAX ITS THE BEST!!!
