In the erotic thriller X, the oldest profession becomes the most dangerous game when two call girls become hunted prey after they witness a murder. High class prostitute Holly Rowe (the stunning Viva Bianca, Spartacus: Blood and Sand) needs a partner for the final "date" of her career - then it's off to Paris and retirement. She recruits 17-year-old runaway Shay (Hanna Mangan Lawrence) for the evening, and the two set off on what should be an easy job. But when violence explodes unexpectedly, Holly must use her hard-earned savvies and sexual allure to keep them both safe through the most terrifying night of their lives.

Great Movie
This movie was actually very good. I would imagine that the reason the movie is a little difficult to acquire is because it is a foreign movie. There are no, to my knowledge, porn stars in this movie. As far as I know, Viva Bianca is a serious actress, on both the screen and stage. It sounds as if there are two people who were expecting something along the lines of porn. This is not that movie, and rating it based on that expectation is unfair to all involved with the making of X. I rented the movie because of the leading actress, loved it, and then bought it. I just think it is bad form to give a low rating for something because it attempts to be a legitimate movie and not porn. The action is non-stop once things begin to go bad for the leading characters, and it was handled very well. If you love Viva Bianca in Spartacus, as I do, you will get to see a great performance with a wider range of emotion than she portrays as Ilithyia. There are a couple twists that add to the entertainment factor, as well as a hard look at the life of girls and women on the streets from different points of view. Prostitution is not glamorized, because while you get to see the high level the leading character rises to, you also get to see the play of emotion that hints that what is seen on the surface is just an act. Give it a try: x

Celebrating the resourcefulness of Australian prostitutes!
So there's these two girls, see, in King's Cross, Australia. What they have in common is that they're both prostitutes. But Holly (Viva Bianca) is what you call "high class". She's just turning 30 today, been selling her body for half her life, and her plan is to get away now, move to Paris and start another life. Then there's Shay (Hanna Mangan Lawrence, incredibly fetching in shorts and a grey t-shirt cut oh so high) who's new to the game and starting out at rock bottom: working the street, getting in fights with other street walkers over turf, giving hand jobs with dirty talk in moving cars. Then Holly's colleague has a fateful shower accident and she's out on the street, looking for a brunette for a threesome, and who should the taxi run into but Shay. Everything runs smoothly (and quite graphically), when all of a sudden the john, Willie (Hazzm Shamas) gets a call. It's not long before they're witnessing Willie getting murdered by a corrupt cop, Bennett (Stephen Phillips). What develops is a great cat and mouse game between Bennett and the two working girls. But the movie is really outstanding for the scenes of down-and-out-life like the scene where Shay helps a junkie shoot up. They're nothing if not resourceful, these Australian whores!

This was a good movie
This is a bitter sweat movie. Holly is a high class call girl, Shay is a struggling teenager on the streets after running away from home. It is never fully explained why Shay ran away but it is inevitable for her to turn to what every young girl in her position have to do to make money, and using the only thing she has, her body. They don't meet until half way through the movie but the roller coaster ride they go on as Holly tries to protect Shay and stay alive was exciting. I had hopped that the movie would end with Holly achieving her dream and maybe take Shay with her. But that didn't happen. I purchased this movie because I thought it would be in French, but it was still a very good movie.

Viva Bianca does a great job
Purchased this mainly due to Viva Bianca's starring in it as I am familiar with her from the Spartacus series. The movie is not too bad. It falls under the category of basically you get what you expect.Frankly, I think Viva is a talented actress and I always enjoy watching her take command of a role.

Much better than expected
Well acted, except for the over the top Antagonist, both Heroines are well played.

Expected more from the title but was not to terribly disappointed by the naked girls however the story took too many unneeded plot twists that seemed Togo nowhere fast. The acting was onpoint and beleivable enough to keep you in your seat.

An okay film.
Not a bad film, but not very suspenseful. Kind of disappointing, but story was decent. If you're lookiing for a good mystery though, pass this one up.

Disjointed and pointless
Well, I'm not going to use the word 'rubbish' but what on earth was going on here? The film starts with Darren Moss completely naked...and why not....performing an act of simulated sex with Ms Viva whilst a group of middle-aged women watch on. He stands up and reaches climax and that's the last we see of him. Then the credits roll. Now, if you only want to see Darren Moss naked, this part of the film is probably on the internet somewhere so don't waste money on this dvd if that is why you want to watch it. The film centres upon a high class hooker who decides to relocate to Paris and start a new life. She has a flight ticket and loads of cash all ready to go that night. Instead of that what does she do? She heads off to see one more client? Along the way she picks up a naive runaway who has decided to become a hooker in Sydney. They witness a murder. The murderer (a bent policeman) has his brains bashed in, is run over and yet he still manages to get up and chase after the two girls. Really?? He finds the high class girl who should be on a flight to Paris and then goes after the other. He finds her because she is wearing pink lipstick and he spotted pink lipstick on a glass at the murder scene. So she's the only girl in Sydney's red light district who wears pink lipstick? Really??? Perhaps pink wasn't the in colour for hooker at this time. The 'plot' rambles on throwing in some female frontal nudity and various other pointless characters. One slips in the shower and is either knocked out or dead? Perhaps this is an accurate depiction of the Sydney red light district? Never having been to Australia I have no idea. At the end of watching, the dvd went straight into the bin. I watched it to the end in the vain hope that it would reach some logical outcome. Thank goodness I only payed 99p + postage. If you want some violence, sex, male/female nudity, brutality, corruption then watch it. If you want some semblance of a logical storyline, my advice is not to bother with this.

Now I know why I hate mobile phones….
In this 2011 Australian erotic thriller Holly (Viva Bianca, Spartacus) is a high class ‘escort’ while Shay (Hanna Mangan-Lawrence) is a 17 year old runaway, broke and alone who fresh off the bus, starts to work the bottom of the street scene. Their two worlds collide when a twist of fate brings them together for a one off job. Needless to say, things go awry and they end up on the run from a maniacal killer. This is a fast paced movie that is brutal and violent from the start. Filmed in Sydney’ red light district it plays with a documentary style realism as we watch the girls run through the underworld in an attempt to stay alive reminding one of ‘New Town Killers’ whilst their plight bonds the two together in a way that brings to mind 'Beautiful Creatures'.With full frontal nudity [male and female] and scenes of sex from the very beginning it opens like a soft porn film but the filming, direction and acting help keep it entertaining as do the few low key plot twists. Yet the film seems to drift from social commentary illustrating drug abuse, prostitution and corruption onto violent thriller at the drop of a hat and seems to loose its way at the end which seems a bit of a let down or even a cop out.The single disc offers little in way of extras, just play, scene selection and bonus material comprising a making of and half a dozen cast interviews. If violence, swearing and nudity are likely to offend, then do not buy this. On the other hand if you want a gritty realism that isn’t afraid to pull punches, then this is worth a watch. Not a classic, but a good runner in the thriller/chase genre and worthy of **** rating.

Fast Paced Thriller in the Bowels of Sydney's Sleazy Underworld.
The scene is Sydney and a high class `call girl' is on her way to do an action `life class' with a Jude Law look a likie in front of Sydney's well to do ladies. They sit in a circle sipping champagne while our heroic duo `get it on' in a sort of upper class `dogging' class; and who said the Australians have no culture? This `courtesan' is Holly Rowe (Viva Bianca), she has decided to quit the profession and retire to Paris. Problem is she hasn't told her eerily controlling `boyfriend' who wants to leave his family to be with her - oops. She also has to `work' right up to the time to get on the flight. We also have the story of seventeen year old, runaway Shay Ryan (Hannah Mangan-Lawrence) she is penniless and is going to start at the bottom of the street walking trade by giving hand relief for a few dollars.Fate throws the two women together and they end up in a situation that they can not control. What happens next is a full on ride through the very sleazy under belly of Sydney, including drug abuse, flesh pots and corrupt coppers. There is a fair amount of nudity and violence along the way too.Director Jon Hewitt has done a reasonable job of getting fairly good performances from the cast, there are some that could have been improved, but this is a fast paced thriller that tries very hard not to pull its punches. That is where it has real strength and not in the character development and I must say I thought it was very good indeed. There are a couple of plot holes in this 89 minute action fest, but they are so minor that they can be overlooked for the sake of entertainment, and entertaining this really is. Another great film from Australia that deals with crime, not as good as `Animal Kingdom' but a very close run thing.

excellent
excellent aussie thriller, which is quite sexy and real at same time . Loved the opening scene when Holly and her male co worker are at a special event . The sex is never gratuitous and although the cover makes it look like a lads/ violent movie this is a lot better than that .perfect late night tv.

Not bad
Not a bad film, but the end is tied up rather too quickly.Gives a good insight into the sleazy side of Sydney which is probably the same for all major cities. The acting is also ok and the leading 2 ladies as well as having remarkable good figures, can also act.
