Genuine Poulan Weedeater Part # 545070601

Finally had the time to replace the carb on my poulan p3314wsa woodshark chainsaw. NOTE- the carb does not come with the mounting gasket, you have ti\o carefully remove the gasket off the old carb (bummer) .Not to hard to install . The hardest part was swapping out the primer bulb. After installing the carb, i had to adjust the idle & high speed jet for optimum performance . I took off one star because it lacked the mounting gasket. The surprising thing is that i can't find the gasket listed on all the parts diagrams that i looked up for the chainsaw.

After several years my chainsaw would no longer stay running; always finicky to start, always stalling, no amount of tinkering would get it right again so I decided to try one last thing -- replace the carburator. Bingo! I used the saw for 2 hours today and can't believe how nice it runs. Just like when it was new. Very pleased with this purchase.

My older Sears/Poulan chainsaw was unhappy; hard to start and would not idle. The local saw shop suggested that the carb had been damaged by the 10% ethanol fuel that CA now requires. They wanted $60 for a new one. This OEM carb was much cheaper and is an exact fit. I found YouTube videos that were very helpful in adjusting the new carb. The old saw runs better than it ever has.

Replaced a failed unit on an 18" Poulan Pro. This carburetor allowed the saw to start right up. I did have to make some minor adjustments, but that can be expected. I chose to use a mini-grinder to cut small grooves in the heads of the high and low needles to allow for adjustment with a small screw driver rather than having to buy the special tool. Easy fix and back in business. Quality part.

called sears,gave the mod and ser numbers,om we don't carry that anymore.seems sears is using polan chain saws.and re -labeling them as sears.saw is 3 years old.get your ser and mod num and Google it.find your part number come back to amazon and order your part.saw is ready for winter is yours???that's the last thing i want to do on a cold winters day fix the saw#@$%^&*

This carb works well on my 42cc Craftsman chainsaw. As other reviewers have mentioned, the plastic engine cover had to be trimmed to account for the throttle linkage (different from the original). After a few minor mixture adjustments the saw now runs great.
