Much improved over earlier hydration packs, and a few minor complaints
I bought this to replace my Camelback from 2000, and there are many things I like better about it. It is much easier to clean: the new bladder design is much easier to access for cleaning and works nicely with a wider mouth and a shape that works well using a folded coat-hanger as a drying rack. It also has quick-release connections on both ends of the hose which makes cleaning it easy. It is easier to fill without spilling water, which was always a problem with the older design. I didn't notice any leaks when it was loaded, even if ot was stuffed in a backpack with other things. The pack is a streamlines design that didn't hang up on anything on the climb and I hardly noticed wearing, the bladder is quickly and easily accessed, and I appreciate the toned down "stealth" markings just because I don't like looking at labels, contrasting colors, or reflective tape. I used it on a long rock climb in Moab and had no problems of any kind. Now, a few quibbles: both straps have quick release buckles, which is useless for me and makes me worry about dropping it (although I had no problems with them on my trip). The straps have square edges where the webbing attaches, which makes me think that it could chafe if I was wearing a t-shirt. Also, my old Camelback pack was also very streamlines but had a zippered pocket just the right size for power bars and a elasticized cord "basket" that was just right for a wind shirt or ultralight shell and it would be nice to see those features again.Over all, though, sturdy, streamlined and functional. Recommended.

Very Pleased one drawback
Just got this Camelbak today. Altho it is a major upgrade from what I have now and less expensive. It has one drawback, My older camelback had a clipon the straps so that you could keep the nozzle pretty close to ur mouth while you where hiking. This particular model does not. It had loops that you can thread it threw but nothing to really Hold the hose in place. Which I find extreamly useful. Don't let that be a drawback from purchasing. They have definatly improved these over the years. One improvement is the Bladder has a huge opening for easier cleaning and Ice Storage. Previous ones had a very small opening and made it harder to clean. Another improvement which may only be this model is that it has an insulated hose so that you fluids that are in the hose stay cool. Haven't tried that out yet but will keep you posted. It also has a mold inhibitor to prevent mold and mildew from forming inside the bladder and hose. Overall a very good product Rugged design and should bring me years of use.

Excellent basic model of CamelBak
This is the 3rd CamelBak that I've owned, and they keep getting better. Military grunts will appreciate this Sabre model - it has a wide mouth opening that's easy to fill with water and then dump in a bunch of ice cubes. Wide mouth also makes it easy to clean - a big improvement over my earlier versions of CamelBaks that got kinda funky after a while. I also learned that WATER ONLY is the best policy. Any juice, Gatorade, or other sugary drink is simply an invitation for mold and mildew to grow. Yuk. The bladder, hose, and mouthpiece are modular and snap together with beefy quick-release joints. This nice feature makes it simple to clean and easy to thread the parts through your backpack so you can keep the bladder away from the sun's heat yet get the bite valve near your thirsty mouth. This one's worth the money.

great for cycling
i got my sabre this week after researching all the camelbaks out there. i ended up choosing this one because of the good deal and great water storage. the 2L is enough for my needs. when it came i was impressed by the quality of materials. or course first thing i did was check for leaks but it holds water great. its nicely insulated. i was able to throw a few ice cubes in it and fill it up with water for a nice cool drink. it comes with a small pocket which fit my wallet, smartphone and keys snugly. honestly thats enough room for me so i have no complaints about how small the pocket is. definitely recommend this product to anyone who is looking for a good hydration pack

Four stars for the funky plastic taste
Went hiking for two weeks in Alberta Canada. Camelbak did great. We went on small hikes, four hours being the longest, and it was enough water to keep four adults hydrated. That being said it was not hot at all, but some of the hikes were intense. The only thing I didn't like about the product is the water tasted like plastic. Other than this it performed great.

Perfect
Exactly as described (Minus the cargo pocket...shrug) and pictured, fits well and the package arrived a day early. If you have a large chest/frame this probably isn't for you. I have a 50" chest and could not get a comfortable fit, so I gave it to my daughter.

Wonderful
Great hydro pack for an active person! too bad they are discontinuing this model... I would wear this anytime/anywhere. The fit is snug and it breaks down for easy cleaning. Be aware that sugerie drinks promote funky grows so clean after EVERY use!

Perfect.
I bought this bag for longboarding and have used it many times. Very comfortable, doesn't leak, and it doesn't "sweat" onto your back. For me this has been the perfect water bag and I would definitely recommend it.
