Bought a pair to clip on the headboard of of the bed as reading lamps - do the job well.

Bought to go with a red light lamp - it works and is practica;l enough, providing you have somewhere to clip it onto / from ie a shelf (I clip it to a tripod)

The goose neck is just the right stiffness, and doesn't droop. The clip works well when clamping to a shelf/desk between about 20mm to about 40mm in thickness. It doesn't quite stretch to 50mm, safely, IMO.

Very pleased. Sturdy construction - clamp has very strong construction; good length of cable which is very flexible.

I got this to use with a 36w sansi grow bulb but unfortunately the sansi bulb is a bit too heavy for the lamp. It's only really to use with a normal small bulb as it won't sit up straight with the sansi bulb so I can't use it. It's still a great little light though.

Many uses for this Clip On Bulb Holder, easy to use with a SCREW IN (not bayonet fitting) bulb! Useful gadget to have around the house!

Amazon say that it is f"requently sold together with Red Light Therapy Lamp." But the lamp/bulb is too heavy for it. It flops. If it is frequently sold with it, it is because it is promoted it as a solution to the fact that the "lamp" has no flex. If you buy this you will have to prop it up — the bulb — assuming you want to support it. Of course you may be buying it for another reason and the lamp/bulb you're attaching might be light, in which case it could be fine, if expensive. I don't know what "sheerness" is — one of the three Amazon criteria so my score of three for this is merely a middle way. I've scored it three for value for money because it's quite expensive even if it does the job for you. And if it doesn't work for you it's very bad value for money

i bought this after reading some negative reviews. it seems to be utterly fine so far., except the weight of the bulb makes any direction other than down difficult. The clip is strong. it has not overheated yet.
