Lonely Planet Pocket Copenhagen (Travel Guide) Paperback – May 1, 2015

I will never travel without a Lonely Planet Pocket book. The size is great for carrying in your purse to consult for quick food & activity suggestions. So many of the food recommendations were excellent and affordable! I used the accommodations recommendations to book hostels & hotels before we traveled. I particularly LOVE the "Best of" selections. The attached maps also were so helpful. This book really made travel so easy and enjoyable.

Did not like organisation of book, needs more references to websites, and would love it if it included local places to visit and eat, not just tourist directed information.

Great details about virtually everything in Copenhagen. Great maps. Very precise information on major tourist attractions. This is a fantastic resource. I have been using it already, and plan to have it in my backpack when I am walking around/touring around the city!! Highly recommend.

What can I say as a Dane being born in Copenhagen, but left in 1966 and only been back on vacation. I bought this book to refresh myself as taking a larger group of American soccer players to Copenhagen next year to play O70 soccer. The book gives a good overview of what a tourist must see in and out of Copenhagen, and that is no doubt why Kronborg (or Hamlet's) Castle 35 km North of Copenhagen was notincluded, while the excellent modern art Museum Louisiana is just close by. It is a good book for people who have to spend a few days in Copenhagen, but of course there is more to see in the rest of the country too. And I always love Loney Planet's going below the normal tourist surface.

I was not impresed with this guide. The information was not sufficient, there were very few restaurants indicated, and even the ones indicated were hard to find. Definitely not a good one.

Great guide, not too large or heavy, containing excellent recommendations and maps with just the right information for a long weekend away. As noted, we followed the advice of booking restaurants and cafes in advance and were very pleased we did! I have several of these City Guides and they have all been worth the purchase.

A small book but loads of information. Very good localised coloured maps within, and a larger tear out map at the rear. Well set out, and easy to read. Truly is a 'pocket' book small enough to fit into a pocket or small bag. It is divided into sections so you can explore districts with a coloured map marked up with the sights described in the book. Would suit those who don't want to use their devices on global roaming!

This is the first Lonely Planet pocket book we've bought and it was perfect for our weekend trip to Copenhagen. Being a relatively small city it covered everything we wanted to do and more. It also contained a handy pocket map and ideas for outside the city. Will definitely be buying similar for our next trips for taking with us whilst on the go

I bought this for my parents as they were going on a trip to Copenhagen. The guide is very detailed in telling the reader where you can visit popular sights, as well as routes - there's a handy foldable metro map at the very back! The book is great for first-time travellers, and gives advice on places to eat, visit and have fun. Recommended to those who don't like carrying huge guides around, as it fits into a handbag!

nice little guide with good advice, it is a little small so you can carry it with you as you go around your day. I particularly liked the fact that it split the city into sections
