WORKED ON RUNNING BAMBOO
Bought it for running Bamboo which was aggressively creeping into my property, all Bamboo plants dead in a week but also the surrounding soil is dead too where I am now struggling to grow the grass back. Very powerful stuff but need to be careful with application. In the end happy results as I read that it is very difficult to get rid of running Bamboo, can damage the property & requires costly and specialist treatment like Japanese knotweed.

This is a very powerful herbicide
Rootblast is effectively concentrated glyphosate. Glyphosate is a widely used herbicide which will kill pretty much any plant it is sprayed on but, and here’s the important bit, doesn’t hang around in the soil in the way that some other weed killers do so it means you can still use the soil to grow other things when your weeds have gone.Glyphosate is relatively safe in that it works by preventing the plant from making amino acids. Amino acids are needed to make proteins and proteins pretty much do everything in a living organism so no proteins equals no life. Once it’s sprayed on it will take a week or so to kill off the plant - which will be using up its proteins in the meantime - so don’t expect to com out the next morning and find your weeds all shrivelled up and dead. But they will die, although some tough weeds might need a second go.There has been concern relating to the potential for glyphosate to be connected with cancer. As far as I understand this is when animal tissue is exposed to a lot of glyphosate. If, like me, you are just going to spray it on the weeds in your garden and, as always, wash you hands after, then I believe there is effectively no risk but it’s always worth doing your own research if you are concerned. Humans, like all other animals, obtain their proteins from the food we eat so glyphosate cannot interfere with our protein formation. I use it and am a lot happier with it than some of the other weedkillers that have been around. In short, Rootblast does what it says it will and it’s a hell of a lot cheaper than buying glyphosate ready mixed.BTW, don’t spray your weeds when it’s windy unless you want to do in your dahlias etc. as well.

Not bad. Goes a long way.
Used this to stop the weeds and moss coming through on our block paving driveway. The fact that this comes in concentrate is a massive bonus as it’s a fairly large area that would get through a lot of weed killer. I mixed it to the recommended ratio in a large pressurised sprayer - made up about 4-5 litres and covered the whole area. It’s not very fast acting and took about a week to see any major effects. But after about 5 days the moss started to darken and the weeds were wilting. I gave the whole drive another pass with 4-5 litres and now -another week later - everything has pretty much died off. I’ll still need to get the jet washer out to try to rake everything out of the cracks and then resand it all at some point. But this stuff did its job fine. And knowing I’ve still got loads left in the bottle for next year definitely makes this better value for money than other options out there.

👍🏽
It's a good price these days. It contains glyphosate so will be good at its job. Tends to work faster than most and be more effective. Kills the root so good longevity. Easy to use. Simply dilute. Works great in a pump sprayer.

Excellent product
i used this on a wall of ivy. I cut into the base stem, soaked cotton wool and cling filmed it over the cut. Took about 6 weeks but the ivy has completely died. I'm amazed and thrilled!!!

It works, it's slow and not very strong
I bought some two years ago. It certainly works but it is quite slow and it needs repeated spraying because it is weak. The price has just gone up twice - every time I look at it in other words.I needed to clear a wide strip of grass and weeds before rotavating and then planting a hedge. Even in full sun it took 3 or 4 lots of close spraying to kill everything off.But it's better than buying the stuff in the garden centres I guess. And the choice for consumers is limited. So...

Let it work, I saw results after 2 weeks.
This stuff is great! Killed the weeds on the front within two weeks. Just give it time. After 7 days I was going to reapply but left it another week as I saw the leafs starting to brown and even the ivy we had has wilted. I would highly recommend!

this stuff is garbage (not garbage just VERY slow acting)
I wanted a really powerful weed killer to destroy the wilderness in my son's back garden. this stuff frightened some couch grass and worried a fern but that was it.I actually made a mistake in the quantities and made the 1st batch from my sprayer 10 times as strong as the directions. When I did the 2nd batch the mix was correct and the 3rd and last batch was roughly twice as strong as the directions. It is now 10 days since I treated the 3 areas and there is no difference between them, the couch grass has been partially killed, a fern now has some of its leaves brown at the tips. The wild roses and the brambles are thriving however.I've now had to get my old brushcutter out and serviced to at least chop the wilderness down.DO NOT BUY THIS STUFF, IT'S USELESS - WRONG just very slow actingIts now another week later, my petrol brushcutter is still being serviced but there is now a big difference in the weeds. The wild roses and the brambles are now dying off leaves are withered and brown and the stems are almost lying horizontally on the ground. This stuff does work it just takes an insanely long time to kill off big stuff
