Good unit, Great customer service
This fridge was EXCELLENT for a road trip out to the western U.S - We put it in the back of our 4runner on a custom built slide, attached to a jackery 500 battery. This thing SIPS energy on the 12v setting. We connected the jackery to the vehicle cigarette adapter and the fridge to the battery so that it would run off the battery while the vehicle was off. Never had a problem or hiccup with power - food stayed cold, and the freezer worked perfectly. We often parked in a shady area, but it was still hot outside -- the fridge ran cool.We stored the fridge for a year in between trips, and it lost functionality. Contacted ICECO - their customer service handled it quickly and provided an immediate fix. Couldn't be happier with the unit or the customer service. Stuff happens. It is nice having the confidence in knowing that when it does -- the company backs their product.

Night and Day Difference Compared to Cheaper 12V Fridges!
I recently bought the Wolfbox 12V fridge (59qt) for around $450, thinking it had everything I needed: dual zone, two separate lids, a mobile app, and a decent size. Unfortunately, it was a disappointment—barely kept the right temperature, and the freezer section didn’t even work.Enter the ICECO VL60—this fridge is on a completely different level. Within an hour, the freezing section was already at the right temperature, and you can feel the cold difference compared to cheaper alternatives. It holds temperature perfectly and keeps my drinks ice cold, exactly how a fridge should. The build quality is leagues above the budget options, and honestly, I don’t even feel like I need an app because it’s so consistent at holding temperature. This fridge delivers on every promise, and you can tell it’s built to last. The build quality and performance of the ICECO VL60 are leagues above budget options, and it’s clear that ICECO isn’t cutting corners. This fridge delivers exactly what it promises, and you can tell it’s built to last. If you’re debating whether it’s worth paying more for a reliable 12V fridge, trust me: it is. Don’t waste time on budget options that struggle to do the basics—this one gets it right.

Great frig!
Love this thing. I know they tell you how much it holds and maybe it is because you don't have to add ice, but I had more than enough room for all my cold food for a 2 week trip. I think I could have gotten away with a smaller one. Travels in the back of my 4runner plugged into EcoFlow. Battery bank was charged daily by plugging into 400watt outlet in 4R, or with solar panels when parked, had no problem running the ICECO.

Awesome for Overlanding
I recently got my hands on the ICECO VL45 Portable Refrigerator with SECOP Compressor, and it's been a game-changer for my outdoor adventures. Here's why I think it's worth every penny:Impressive Performance: This fridge is a beast. Pre-cooling the contents before loading is key, as it performs best that way. Whether plugged into AC power or your vehicle's DC outlet, it chills quickly. Plus, when connected to a portable power station, it's remarkably efficient. I never had an issue with running out of power on my deep cycle battery on a 4 day trip.Sturdy and Thoughtful Design: The all-metal construction gives it a robust feel, and the compressor operates quietly. The lid features a wide rubber gasket and secure locking hasps, ensuring a tight seal. The controls and plugs are on the same end, there is another model that has an additional plug on the other side which would be a bonus for loading into a car or truck differently.Temperature Precision: While it may run a few degrees above the displayed set point, it holds the temperature consistently. I found that setting it slightly lower than desired keeps contents at the perfect temperature. In summary, the VL45 is a game changer for me on the go Overlanding. I finally can stop buying ice and having boxes and paper disintegrate in ice water. Highly recommended!

Does the job, but some exceptions
Good for 2 people overlanding for about 4 days at a time. We cycle canned drinks in as we use them to free up space and that seems to work well. Keeps things nice and cold and draws relatively small amount of power. We use this in an offroad trailer with 100ah lithium battery, 200 watt solar, and alternator charging from truck when underway. This setup has been more than enough to power fridge and leave plenty in the bank for other consumers. Worked well in 100 degree weather in desert. Make sure to get it out of direct sunlight or it will struggle. The skin get incredibly hot in intense sunlight.Thermostat sucks like others have said. Iceco tried to give some BS explanation about the compressor mode. I compared with thermometer inside. Unit is routinely 10 degrees warmer than what it says and swings 10+ degrees before readout sees 2 degree increase and kicks on compressor. I simply adjusted unit to 29 degree setpoint and that keeps it in mid 30s most the time. Before you use it, caulk the internal seams with silicone. This should be done from the factory. Spills will seep down into insulation and never leave. Also, condensation forms on walls and drips down and pools slightly in bottom. This will also be a problem if it is allowed to drip down into insulation. The external construction is solid. I accidentally lowered my trailer onto it briefly and it supported the whole weight and only scratched the paint on the cooler. It has a some issues, but overall, I'm happy with what I have. Definitely caulk the inside or you will be sorry.
