Herbin Glue Gun Wax - 4 3/4 Long - Silver

Well, I am VERY new to the sealing wax for glue guns "scene". As a matter of fact, this is my very first purchase. When I received them, I wasn't sure what to expect but I at first was a bit disappointed because the sticks aren't as long as I imagined (even though I'm sure the description told me the length and I probably didn't pay attention). The sticks are also small in circumference, and while I was still excited, I was thinking they're too expensive to buy again. But the difference in the finished product is phenomenal, and it doesn't take much to make a nice seal, so overall, I still think it's a good buy. Instead of just feeling more stiff as wax will feel, this has a rubbery consistency to it, and it's AWESOME. They seem to stick to paper even better than the regular wax that you melt with a flame. Much easier too. Yes, if you like seals, I'd definitely recommend this product. They have lots of colors as well.

I used this as the wax seal on my wedding invitations. It is a steal compared to the price local shops are charging for wax. The finished look is much more glossy and clean than other products I've used. The picture of this one is a little deceiving. The silver is much, much darker once melted and stamped... but it looked amazing. I actually did run out and had to buy from a store here in Washington... paid more and liked it much less. I definitely recommend these sticks for anyone sealing invitations or letters.A few things to note:1) These us a mini glue gun, not the standard size2) Use the wax on a low setting (if you have one) with your gun (Mine got a little too melted and took longer to stamp)3) Shipping was not through amazon - it came in a regular bubble mailer, and it took a lot longer than an average amazon order.

Meant for a mini low temp glue gun!! Tried them in my regular gun today and they were too small. Going to try again after getting a mini glue gun!Update: Got the mini glue gun and they worked beautifully!! I was surprised how many seals I got out of them. One box did about 60 3/4" seals. Really nice quality and pretty pearlescent color. Definitely the way to go if you're doing a bunch of invitations or cards. The seal was very nice and adhesive, but the little strings where the wax dripped moving the glue gun back and forth were very easy to pull off. Works best if you place your seal in a cup of ice to chill and then dry it on a washcloth right before sealing.

I got the light blue and it was much lighter than the picture. That is the only reason I gave 4 stars. Additionally, it fits great in a hot glue gun.

Using quality makes a difference! Using wax for sealing greeting cards can be messy if a cheap wax is used I get a precise impression and solid sealI purchase these every time I need more

I use these sticks with my mini glue gun to make seals on packaging. They melt smoothly and have a slight metallic finish once cooled. Very handsome effect! The sticks do run out pretty quickly - I use one stick for every 8-10 one-inch seals. But you could probably get away with a little less, if you don't mind imperfect edges - maybe one stick for every 12-15 seals. Recommended.

I was a little annoyed that the description clearly says for standard glue guns but when they arrived they are mini sticks. I should have read the reviews more carefully as other people had noted this. It's frustrating because I didn't end up with as much product as I wanted so it wasn't as good of a deal as I had thought. There are full size ones available for less than a dollar more and would have had way more product. There was not enough time to return and reorder for my project so I had to go out and buy a mini glue gun on top of it.

Works with a little under $10 glue gun and sure beats having to deal with a candle! I keep them in a desk drawer with the glue gun and plug it in as necessary. Seals flexible and quickly with a very good impression. Great idea and cool product for those of us who still correspond in a traditional manner.

Love these sticks! I have been using them for quite a while now as part of my jewelry packaging. I use a metal wax stamp and make sure to have stamp on some ice before using it, since the wax does get really hot.I use the white color and it's the only sticks I have used that really come out white.

Used these to create the seal on my wedding invites. They looked amazing.

Really good product very impressed with the colour as shown. Arrived next day and there was enough wax to make around 40 stamps.
