NYX Professional Makeup Soft Matte Lip Cream, Addis Ababa

This is buttery smooth and easy to use. I love the color!! I am Mexican-American with dark features, and I believe this is a great shade of pink for my complexion. It gives me an ego-boost when I wear it!Need to know: It scented—maybe cotton candy? It’s subtle, and I don’t mind it.As for having to use lip liner or whatever prepping some makeup aficionados might to when wearing lipstick, I did t do any of that. I do notice that after a while of eating/drinking and using napkins, it wears off and I’m left with lined-lips, but that’s my experience with most lipsticks.I definitely recommend this if your looking for a pop of color to wear.

I bought this color for my wedding reception and it was amaginggg. I tried Maybelline Matte Color Stay before this and literally COULD NOT get it off. This is not so aggressive but does last a long time. I've worn it several times since and it's wonderful. I was never a "makeup person" before my wedding but knew I needed something extra for the big day. I liked it so much that I've started to wear it daily since then.

Hate it! I am a lipstick junkie and own every brand out there. I watched a few youtube videos that claimed nyx has a great matte lipcream at a cheaper price, i figured why not give it a try, it's under 10 bucks, Well it's definitely not matte! I got home from work and because i still had my matte ( Anastasia ) lipstick on i tested the nyx on my hand, 10 min later gave it a soft rub and it still had not dried, i waited another 15 min, gave it a soft rub, still had not dried, i than wipped off the Anastasia, applied the nyx and it never matted and it wiped right of with a dry cotton round. uhk....will never buy again!

I purchased the Addis Ababa shade and love it. It's a true fushia pink. I have about 6 other shades of the NYC matte lip cream as well. I'm not a fan of the formula, but can beat the price. The nice thing about the formula is it's slow to dry and that gives you the advantage of creating custom colors, but the creaminess makes it streaky an difficult to provide even coverage. I often need two coats and the first has to completely dry before the second which takes at least five minutes. I feel the applicator is a also contributing to the streakiness, but I just pat it on my lips and use and eyeshadow brush.Also, my first time using this didn't understand why it wasn't matte, it was because it didn't dry completely. You have to put on and wait without moving your lips and keeping them slightly open. The staying power is decent about 6 hours. You probably need to repply after eating, especially, if it's oily food. This is kind of a high maintenance formula but if you take your time and apply it right you'll get good results.

Goes on super smoothly, feels wonderful. It's not sticky at all, even though some more expensive lipsticks are. It's truly matte, doesn't really leave any shine. I ordered Addis Ababa because I wanted a bright pink color, and it's super bright and pink.I recommend looking at other pictures/swatches of this on Google, the Amazon pictures don't portray the colors wonderfully.

ITS A REALLY PRETTY COLOR SO, I WILL BE TAKING IT WITH ME NEXT TIME I GO SHOPPING FOR LIPSTICK IN ORDER TO GET THAT SHADE. I JUST DON'T LIKE THE TEXTURE AND LOOK OF YOUR LIPS ONCE IT DRYS. MY LIPS LOOKED AND FELT LIKE A RAISIN. IT ALSO COMES OFF WAY TO EASILY. I RECOMMEND GETTING MABELLINE'S 24 HR STAY LIP STICK IN A COLOR CLOSE TO THIS..I ALWAYS USE THAT LIPSTICK, AND I LOVE IT.

My lips are very pale and I'm always looking for products that will last a long time and are bright. I will admit that this color is BRIGHT. So when I want it to be not so bright I simply just apply this to my bottom lip, smootch them together and with a lip brush, I spread it all over my lips. Lasts a long time and it looks fabulous! Definitely buying it again!
