Great crimper
I've had this crimper for a little over a year. I have used it to make battery cables 2/0 and smaller. I've crimped a thousand or more in the 10 to 18 gauge range. I've used it for hundreds of small cable ferrules. Be careful not to continue pumping when the jaws touch each other. You will either break a jaw or the seal in the hydraulic pump.

Solid
Confirming die sizes were way wrong, at least for the copper crimp ends i used. It left a flat smashed crimp on the side, and I beg for more inserts but the handheld hydrolic crimper was amazing in potential. My little battery project is quite nice and it would not have gone well had i used my manual crimper (would have probably soldered the connectors.)

mid tier crimper
Nice, simple tool for crimping. The dies dont stay put without a little dab of glue and make it somewhat awkward to hold one handed to crimp a line you're holding in the other. The dies area touch big for their rated sizes but still work well. No issues with the hydraulics or power supplied by the action.

Should have bought this long ago
I bought a manual crimper a while back to crimp some 4awg cable on a Jeep winch. I regret not buying a hydraulic crimper sooner. This is far superior to a manual crimper assuming the weight and size are ok for the application. It comes with plenty if die sizes and is easy to use.

So far So good!
Used it for more than 30 heavy gauge crimps and works decently for the price. Works even better if you "TIN" the copper wire before inserting it into the crimp connection.

Would not buy again
This worked okay for the first set of terminals I needed to work on. It slowly got less powerful because it was leaking internally. It came with a replacement O-ring (normally a good sign, but in this case, a bad one) which I installed. It got a little tighter but now it seems to be leaking past the check valve or something because it makes an awful noise while clamping and only makes a small amount of progress for each pull of the handle. It's hard to even get the die jaws to even fully close around a terminal.Unfortunately, I see that this tool now costs *HALF* of what I paid for it, which is closer to its actual value. Even still, this is likely a thing you use infrequently and you need it to work when it's time to use it. I would not buy this again. Shoulda bought a better one.

Useful tool for larger gauge wire
Needed a crimping tool for 6 ga wire, this did the job. Comes with a large assortment of dyes. Powerful enough to make crimping easy.

Works great, good value.
The kit comes with a number of crimping dies. I needed one size for my cable railing system. Works great and a good value. Maybe I wasn't strong enough but I needed to place the tool on a hard surface and press down on the grip to get a good crimp. I was not able to squeeze it with just my two hands. My cable railing system looks great.
