For the price this thing is pretty great. I like the different colors as they're easier to see than Rubik's (despite knowing how they are oriented on the cube it's still nice visual confirmation). I will say that if you're looking for a really smooth/fast experience this is probably not your best bet. Even with it tensioned just right and with or without lube, it's difficult to get it flowing consistently. As a result, quick solves are a bit stifled. But again, for the price that's to be expected. The build quality seems good. I've dropped it countless times on hard floors and though the adjustment screw covers pop off, nothing has broken yet.

Good starter option for a speed cube if you are on a super tight budget. Rounded internal edges help the sides to spin quickly, although there is some concern for durability and you can feel it with the weight being so light. If you are starting to go faster, you might want to look at sturdier options with magnetic internals. If you turn a side before completely setting it in place, you can feel some give, which can be worrying. All in all, a great first speed cube.

Perfect for my 8 and 10 year old that wanted to learn. They figured it out, and with this cube, they can successfully solve it in a minute or two, as it moved smoothly enough.
