Nitecore Digicharger D4 Battery Four Bays Charger with LCD Display

I have used hundreds of nicads, NiMMh batteries over the years. Kids, cameras, smoke detectors, radios, remote controls, radio operated toys and on and on. I've relied on the old er wall wart chargers that literally fry the insides of the batteries if not removed exactly at peak charge. I have literally killed good, expensive batteries on their 5th recharge cycle simply by forgetting about them for a day or so. Some have even melted the outer sleeve or even the charger itself. Not cool, as they are a fire hazard. So, when I got (2) of these chargers, I was able to keep all my AAA through D sized batteries charged up to but not over peak charge. When I use my big photo-flash units, it really helps by quick charging them almost as fast as I can discharge them. I've never been able to do that before! It actually refreshes the chemistry inside as well which keeps them strong and they are now lasting as long as they should. It has paid for itself easily by keeping a stable of Nicads, NiMh and Li-ion cells ready to go when needed. I can now go about 3 months at a time before I do a sweep of all the cells in duty, swap them with fresh charged cells and keep the herd moving in step. I never have a device quit on me anymore and some cells have begun to wear out on the outside from just handling instead of the inside. If you have more than 20 or so batteries that you have to keep charged and in service, this makes sense. Buy good quality battery cells and get the most out of them with this charger. And for idiots like me, you can forget about them for days and it just keeps them at peak charge, never overcharges them and best of all, they don't melt or catch on fire.

I will say NITECORE is one of those brands that believe in innovation which is why they are the leader in certain products. I've had multiple NITECORE chargers for over a decade and every single one is still going strong with zero malfunctions.. I highly advise/recommend that you verify you are receiving AUTHENTIC NITECORE products with utilization of the verification process on NITECORE's website.. There are plenty of counterfeit products, that don't come close to the authentic products. Quality, craftsmanship, durability, attention to detail, longevity, ease of use, and customer support of NITECORE is second to none. I advise all buyers add the car charger to these products.. Nitecore meets & exceeds our charging needs.My rechargables seem to last much longer when maintained by a Nitecore charger.This is the 3rd. one I've purchased, not becasue they quit working but for gifts & increased battery counts that need charged. We use a LOT of high end AAA & AA rechargable batteries in this house & trust Nitecore to keep them in good condition.

AA batteries and larger fit great in it but AAA'S are a pain to charge as they keep getting knocked out when slotting in 4 of them.

In November of 2015 I ordered the Nitecore i4 charger. It's still going strong downstairs, a couple of the springs are a little firm when depressed, but it is completely rock solid still.The only reason I got the D4 was because I've come into more batteries over those 9 years and I now have an upstairs, so it is nice to have a spot to charge batteries wherever I am. The D4 is a great battery charger and I don't think there's a reason to go for any other brand.

This was my second nitecore charger to suddenly stop working after 6 months.

I have purchased several over the years. They all work still (I just have so many batteries). They charge really well, even the stubborn low-quality batteries that other chargers won't even register.
