I used these to retap the thread on my car's wheel nuts after a garage manage to cross-thread two of the nuts onto the studs - I also had to chase the studs as well, but that's a different tool and different review.The set comes with two slightly different taps, one more for ease of chasing (a plug / taper tap) and the other better for cutting the thread down to the bottom of the unit being tapped (bottoming tap).I found the taper / plug tap best for clearing the thread that had been damaged and the bottoming tap was a good way to cut a slightly cleaner thread after.Overall, good tools for a good price, did the job I needed them for. I would recommend them to anyone.

Ordered Saturday and delivered Sunday afternoon. Not used yet but Looks good quality, all packaging text in German which is normally a good sign. Well priced and I’m sure I’ll be buying again

Only used them 4 times. Worked well.

Used once to cut 10 threads they worked fine cutting the threads in approx 3mm angle steel

Purchased to try and recut a rounded thread on a BMW wheel hub. I didn’t know if it would be up to the job, but it was worth a punt.The tap recut the thread with ease saving the need to replace the wheel hub.

Top quality tools

First and second tap kit. Used just the once as I chipped my original and was getting hit and miss fresh thread cuts.

Good for cleaning threads, perhaps the odd tapping task, but I do not think they would do large numbers. however that is reflected in the cost.
