SinuPulse Elite Advanced Nasal Irrigation System with 30 SinuAir Saline Packets, Pulsating Nasal Congestion Relief & Sinus Rinse Machine, More Effective Than Neti Pot or Nose Spray

I really like this product. It is so well designed, highly functional and convenient. After a year of use, I have had no problems with it whatsoever. I like that it stays on the countertop and you don’t have to lift a heavy device to your face. Maybe the best thing for me is the tips (the nose pillow fittings, or whatever you call them). They are very broad and conical shaped and provide a great seal, which is important so that the water doesn’t just run back out the same nostril that it goes into. None of the non-powered portable bottles offer this. I even adapted these tips to a little handheld squeeze bottle I can use for travel. The adjustable flow amount is great for lavage. With it, you can get a longer or a shorter lavage session, depending on your preference.I have not yet tried the nasal irrigators, as opposed to the lavage tips, but I understand they can be used for the delivery of certain prescription medications like antibiotics. This seems like a terrific idea for sinusitis or sinus infections due to the ability to deliver antibiotic to the affected area without a systemic effect. Antibiotics are a godsend for many infections, but you don’t really want them bouncing around inside your body if you don’t have to have them!

This product is amazing! I bought the sinus pulse after I had been on antibiotics for a sinus infection for an entire month and it still wouldn't go away. I suffered from daily headaches even though I used my regular sinus squeeze bottle daily. As soon as I bought this product, I could tell a difference from using the sinus squeeze bottle.Shortly after purchasing the product, I went to my allergist who recommended that I use Pulmicort (generic: budesonide; liquid steriod) in my saline water (just put the entire vial into the full 20 ounces of salt water). The next day, everything started to drain from my sinuses. I won't go into gory detail, but everything gross that was causing my headache finally came out over the next 3-4 days.Note: FDA use for Pulicort is intended to be used as an inhaled steriod in a nebulizer. However, when used as a sinus rinse, it is similiar to Naxonex, but it works much better to get deep into your sinus cavaties. New studies have been done on using Pulmicort in sinus rinses: ([...])Ever since then, I have been using my sinus pulse two times daily, and I use a vial of Pulmicort either every day or every other day. I also use 3-4 drops of grape fruit seed extra (GSE) concentrate into my salt water once a day which is supposed to help naturally kill bacteria.If you suffer from sinus headaches or sinus infections, BUY THIS PRODUCT! Also, I highly recommend going to an ear, nose, and throat specialist to check the anatomy of your sinuses. I had a deviated septum which caused my frequent sinus problems. The sinus pulse and Pulicort together were able to clear everything even with my deviated septum, but it was always very hard to maintain a perfectly clear sinus passage. I had surgery a couple months back, but I still use my sinus pulse daily. I honestly can't imagine not cleaning out the gunk from the sinuses. It just seems gross to me now considering what I see coming out every day!One thing to point out: If you have a cold and your nose is blocked, do NOT use this product. It can actually push the virus from your sinuses into your ears causes an ear infection--I know because it's happened to me twice until I finally figured it out. If your nose is blocked, I first recommend to use an oral decongestant (guaifinisen and pseudophedrine work best for me) with a spray decongestant (4-way or Afrin but for NO LONGER than 3 days). This will open up your nasal passages and then you can do the sinus rinse, but do it VERY GENTLY. You don't want to feel it in your ears because then there will be a chance of the virus getting into your ears. Unfortunately, I have found no natural or OTC pill method to clear an ear infection and I'm pretty sure I tried just about everything.If you are like me and you have major sinus troubles and you hate antibiotics, this product is for you. The sinus rinse bottle (even combined with the pulmicort steriod) still doesn't prevent my chronic sinus issues. I got lazy for a few weeks and stopped using my SinusPulse and started using the sinus bottle (still twice daily. However, laziness turned into a sinus infection in my Maxillary sinuses and now I am using my SinusPulse and Pulmicort to cure it without antibiotics or oral steriods. I realized that even when my sinuses "seem" clear, I can't go too long with my sinus pulse or I will end up with issues. I trust this product and I highly recommend it.

I bought the SinuPulse to help with sinus problems I have experienced and which led to an episode of Bell's Palsy last year. I previously used another automated sinus wash product which had a bad reputation for malfunctioning after several months of use. As such, I read the reviews on the SinuPulse and though it was more than twice the cost of the previous machine I had used, I decided that the design might just have resolved the problems of my other sinus wash product. Initially, it worked just as I needed and appeared to have resolved the mechanical issues of my previous machine. After every use, I carefully rinsed the system in order to avoid any residue build-up from the sinus wash powder supplied with the machine. However, after having used the machine less than 10 times since I bought it in December 2016, it also malfunctioned.Two nights ago, I loaded the tank with 10 onces of water and the recommended sinus powder. When I turned the device on to begin the sinus wash, something popped inside bottom portion of the machine. The pumping continued to function, but the solution simply drained out the bottom of the device instead of passing through the spray nozzle. After cleaning the mess up, I checked to see if the tank had been properly seated. It was. A day later I opened the bottom container to see if a belt or tube might have been dislodged. Nothing appeared to be out of place or dislodged. I reseated the bottom case container and ran another test of the machine with just 2 onces of plan water in the tank. Once again, the machine began the pulsing process, but nothing passed through the nasal device while the 2 onces of water leaked out of the bottom of the machine. Needless to say, I am completely dis-satisfied with the SinuPulse. For $80, I would expect much better quality. For $30 -35, I already know I can purchase another automated sinus wash device which will last several months before it fails.Updated 3/9/17: As a follow-up, I contacted Health Solutions via email about the problem I experienced with the SinuPulse and they responded within 24 hrs asking that we speak by phone in order to resolve the problem. Several days later, I spoke at length with the representative, Glen, about what had happened. He was extremely courteous and helpful as he tried to identify what might have caused the breakdown. In the end, he arranged to ship me a replacement unit at no additional cost. The new unit arrived last week. I was pleasantly surprised to discover that Glen had even taken the additional steps to test the new unit to ensure that all was working as expected. I have had occasion to use the replacement and am pleased to say that all is working without a problem.I am extremely grateful for the understanding and cooperation that Glen and Health Solutions provided in resolving the issue. I find it to be a very pleasant surprise to find a company that stands by their product and takes the time and effort to listen to their customer and to resolve their issue. Given their follow-up actions, I feel it is only appropriate for me to change my rating from the original 1 star to 4 stars and to recommend the product.
