Great grind, bite and flavor
These are a new brand of grits for me. Recently I’ve been having a finer grind that’s been quite good. These coarse grains cook to a wonderful texture with a good bite and delicious flavor. Cooking time was as expected,15-20 minutes. I’m a new fan!

Excellent REAL grits
The coarse stone ground grits are superior to most commercially available grits out there. These are not instant grits. These are sit by the stove and stir grits. Use water and milk, add a little salt pepper and perhaps cheese or butter. Delicious and a decent source of fiber. These are some of the best grits I've found.

Great grits
These are wonderful grits. They are creamy with a good mouth feel. There are no additives or “stuff”. Because of popularity in my house, I make them at least once a week.

Grits are delicious
Greta grits. Only problem is the bag clearly states they are best under refrigeration. They of course didn’t arrive that way but we keep them in the fridge now. I don’t love the bag. I would prefer a cloth bag but that is totally a first world problem! Stone ground grits are better than classic grits by far because those are too small and end up tasting like much. Add a bit of butter and cheddar cheese and oh my! So good

Real Stone Ground Grits
Love the taste and texture of these grits. So many grits don't hold their body and become mushy. These are the real deal.

Cook at a simmer for at least 20 to 25 minutes uncovered. Stir frequently.
I love cheese grits just about every weekend, when I have the time to cook them nice and slow. It's 1/4 grit to water ratio. I first bring the water to a boil then add the grits and lower to a simmer. I usually add about a 1/4 tsp of salt per cup of water and a tsp or 2 or 3 of butter then let them simmer for half an hour uncovered stirring frequently. If the grits are too thick you can add water in small increments. Then near the end of cooking, about 3 to 5 minutes before I server - add about 1.5 slices of cheese per 1/4 cup of grits. Crisp bacon crumbled in just before you eat is also very good.
