bulged after 19 months of continuous use; no leaks, probably bulletproof
Update: 19 months' use, added air 3-4 times. One of the horizontal internal braces came loose about a week ago, causing a bulge to develop down near the foot. I can still sleep on it, but I think I'll save it as a spare for all of that company I'm always having with my wild social life. Or maybe I'll sell it on Craigslist for $20.It has been fairly comfortable, and the sturdy exterior has shown no signs of wear. The pump still works fine. Of course, it's only seen about 15 seconds of use since the initial inflation when I bought the mattress.I'm leaving my review at 5 stars because air mattresses aren't typically intended to be used continuously. This is the best one I've had so far by a long shot. The past few months I've been noticing that when I sleep on my side I wake up with a paralyzed arm. Kind of scary. I've been driving to work rather than walking or riding my bike for the past few months as well, so it could be me, not the mattress. Still, keep in mind that an air mattress is NOT a coil or foam mattress.--Update: 5 months' continuous use, added air once.--The SS-47T has been an excellent mattress so far! I am using it with a 3" 'gel swirl memory foam' pad (Twin Size 3 Inch Thick, Gel Swirl Visco Elastic Memory Foam Mattress Pad Bed Topper Made in the USA), which hangs off the end a couple of inches. The mattress is 72" long from bulge to bulge (even after 5 months' use), not 75.5" as advertised. The width is accurate, however, at 40".This mattress/pad combo has been perfect for me, whether sleeping on my back or on my side. I weigh around 150 and I am 5'10" tall. Also, I am very bony. I don't really mind hanging my heels off the end of the bed - I think I actually prefer it. The mattress isn't super-inflated because I want it to last, but with the pad it is still very supportive, medium-firm, and doesn't sink in the middle.I use this mattress and pad combo as my full-time bed, on the floor in the corner of my room. I have added air (switched the pump on for about three seconds) once since I first inflated it. Not bad!My mattress is identical to the image in the Amazon ad, complete with the horizontal bars.I definitely would have preferred a simple valve and detachable pump, but this one hasn't given me any trouble the two times I've used it. If this mattress ever fails, I will update this review. In the meantime, I will update the review every few months to let you know it's still going strong.I think the thing that sets this mattress apart from others is it doesn't try to be soft and comfy, which tends to mean materials that are stretchy and prone to scratches and pinhole leaks. This mattress is covered with a very stiff, rough fabric that might as well be armor. One major advantage of the fabric's roughness is a mattress pad won't slide, and the mattress isn't as bad about wandering away from the wall while you sleep. Of course, a disadvantage is you're not going to be comfortable without a pad on top. And this is coming from a guy who was happy to sleep on a carpeted floor for a year and a half!!

NOT Durable - got a TEAR/HOLE after only a few months! Terrible. Waste of Money.
Let me preface this review by saying that I chose this product specifically because it was described as "Ultra Tough"; "Puncture & Stretch Resistant" and "Best Material on the Market!".I wanted an air mattress that would be durable and would last for years. Despite the reviews that this model was not too comfortable, I decided that durability was even more important than comfort. However, after less than 3 months and after using it only a handful of times, the air mattress tore / has a large hole near the air pump. The mattress now will not stay inflated, leaks air extremely quickly and is useless. We tried using the repair patch to no avail. I now feel like I wasted $80+ on a product that was falsely advertised. The whole story:I received the mattress and was disappointed to find that it is in fact uncomfortable - it is very hard, the pattern on the fabric is distracting, and overall it is just not comfortable. If you want to have one of your worst night's sleep, then surely sleep on this.We had the air mattress for less than three months, and used it only a handful of times when we discovered it has a huge tear near the air pump. After every use, we deflated the mattress and put it away in the provided bag. We followed the manufacturer information exactly as written.I feel like I wasted money and am disappointed and angry. Now I am out $80+ and do not have an air mattress to provide guests when they spend the night.Do NOT buy this product.-----Update: I am updating my review. After corresponding with the manufacturer, I was able to receive a replacement bed under their 1 year limited warranty. However, I had to first send $25 and the logo cut off from the defective bed, to the manufacturer before they sent me my replacement bed. I am happy I received a replacement but this it is crap that I had to pay $25 for it.
