Great water proof hats
They work great and they both love them.

Waterproof, comfortable.
Bought it to wear in Alaska. I wanted a wide brim hat that is 100 waterproof. I wore it in a downpour. Worked perfectly, like a small umbrella on my head. Folds flat.

Cooling hat, light weight, color on point
The hat is week made and constructed. Thw hat is designed to be with as is or you can dunk it in water for additional cooling. The color doesn't run when you dunk it, which is great. Adjustable so it will fit mamy size heads. Was very cooling for a day in an amusement park in the sun, I just kept wetting it down. Great hat. Will likely get lots of use of it as the summers are just getting more brutal.

Fantastic Hat! I bought this hat to replace me original Frogs and Togs Boney hat that I lost.
Fantastic Hat!!! I bought this hat to replace me original Frogs and Togs Boney hat that blew off my head on a cruise ship on an extreme windy Day that I had for years and wore it often in the everglades and ocean. The hat even gets better with age like a worn pair of jeans. I love it.

Nice hat, but maybe not Amazon Prime
If you have ever used the Frogg Toggs rain jackets (the actual full jacket or rain pants, not the cheaper lighter rain suit they sell as a set), this is made of the same material but thinner.I like it. It's very light and like the jackets does great repelling rain. I shared a concern with one of the other reviewers, that it wouldn't vent well in the heat. I'll post an update later after I test it more, but after getting the hat I was pleased that the material was thin so it already feels cooler on my head than my cloth boonie hat. And the best venting hats I've seen feature mesh or open areas on the top, so they wouldn't do well against rain. My existing cloth hat is fine for cool dry weather, but I wanted a hat versatile enough for heat, sun, cold, and rain, and this might be it.I like that there's an adjustable band for tightening the fit on your head, and also a chin strap to keep it fastened under heavy wind. One gripe: Amazon listed this when I bought it as Prime eligible, but I don't think it actually is. I ordered it at the same time as a bunch of other camping gear and most of it came in two days. The hat shipped from a different seller and arrived later. But the seller did pretty well shipping it quickly and it got here just a couple days later. Still, Amazon, you charge a fee for Prime, you should either uphold it or take this item off Prime status.UPDATE (30-May-2016): I took the hat with me on a short hike in 87F and humid weather. It doesn't really breathe much. I also tried to blow through the fabric from the inside of the dome area, and struggled to get any flow. But I'm not changing the rating because I think it's still great; crushable and water repellent, and the chin strap helped a lot with the wind. What I've accepted is that I'll ultimately end up using different hats for different situations; there is no perfect hat for all situations. This one is good for any wet weather and for sun. My old one is fine for cold dry weather. I'll probably need a vented third one for hot dry weather.

Good fishin hat
Looks like it’ll hold up feels like tarp material so it’ll be water proof. My biggest complaint is the inner lining seriously it’s in there but they didn’t sew the top portion so everytime I pull the hat on and off it gets bunched up. Kinda cheaply made even the frog tog tag is crooked on it. Little disappointed but I’ll keep it because I can’t seem to find another with this camp design.

Lightweight sun and rain, surprisingly durable
I bought this hat 3.7 years ago. I've used it on many day hikes, camping trips, and a 9 day wilderness canoe trip in Maine. It has done well protecting me from both rain and sun. I used to bring separate sun and rain hats, but now just this one. I also have a fancier sun hat with a raincover tucked in the back brim. I prefer the Toggs because it is lighter and no need to fuss with getting rain cover on and off.I treat the hat fairly rough such as jambing it in cargo pockets and backpacks. I didn't expect the building paper like material to hold up well, but it has!My head is on the larger size, guessing 95th percentile. This hat WAS tight and just barely wearable. The building paper type material does not stretch. However about a year ago, I cut out the inside elastic headband. Fit is now much more comfortable, and as big bonus the hat is cooler in hot weather. Next one I buy, I'll cut out the elastic band on day one.If you wear the chin strap, the hat is pretty good in wind compared to other sun hats I've tried. Brims on other cloth hats tend to flap around much more easily than this one. The brim of the Toggs will move, but it takes a stronger wind and when moved it's more likely to stay in that position rather than flap.
