Really?!?!
Wow...wow....all I can say is.....did I really waste my money on this? Don't get me wrong, there is some SERIOUS rock-a-bility here with this set up. I have seen so many cymbal packs that never have big enough sizes or enough cymbals but here is the holy grail of cymbals. The problem is it is over kill. Wait, before you slam your laptop shut and mutter expletives, here me out. My first song that I learned was "Animal I have become" by Three Days Grace. If you havent heard it, listen to it. I pretty much learned how to play drums from "One-x" by Three Day Grace and "Nevermind" by Nirvana. So trust me when I say that I play rock and I like loud cymbals. I hate when my gear is lost in the mix. Ughhh that really sucks. However, this is really loud. I knew that when I bought it, but the quietest cymbal is the 18 A custom. The rest are really hard to open up. Then on top of all that you have the K crash/ride. That it sooooooooooo f***in loud, f***!. I don't know how I can mic that without blowing a mic lol. If I used just the a custom crash and the k crash/ride as just a ride then I suppose I could do alot. But if that's the best I could get from this set, why the bloody h*** did I even buy it?!?!Update---I purchased a 17 Zildjian A series thin crash which is a little lower pitched than these crashes. Once I added that, it really helped up the versatility of this set. In all fairness, this set up is underpriced in a good way. If you can play with control, than this set has MANY application!Update 2.0-Don't buy them from here, when I wrote this review they were about $1200. The seller is ripping you off if they are $1200 at Guitar Center.
