I ordered this backup camera kit on Friday night and received it Sunday. Very pleased with the shipping turn around. My purchase was an open box item and came in original box with all accessories included. I installed the camera/mirror today ( Labor Day) and was impressed with the quality for what I paid. ( $39.23 with discount) The pictures above were taken at 8pm Eastern Time and as you can see they aren't that bad. The mirror was easy to hang up with existing mount and looks really good. The video output is ok for this price range. The installation went well and the included extended cable just made it to my under dash by the driver side. I have a long bed 07 Dodge Ram 1500 so the cable is long enough if you have a smaller vehicle. I removed the front part of the headliner and side molding to hide the cable and looks like it came from factory. Quality seams good and the rain didn't affect the camera at all today. Man I wish the compass worked! Overall a great buy if you don't mind the compass.Update 7/27/20. Camera is having issues. It's going in/out at times. I think the rain is affecting camera performance so knocking one star.

The media could not be loaded.  Originally was going to install on my 72 Mustang but decided to install it on my 2006 Mustang instead. It was fairly easy to install. Hardest part was to remove the original Ford rear view mirror (searched youtube). Nice clear picture and can adjust brightness. Also like that the line up lines will curve once the car starts turning in a particular direction. This feature has to be connected to the compass feature. At this point I have not been able to get the compass feature to work or the temperature. My system did not have the "wires shown" for temp in & temp out so assume this feature is not on this mirror. Excellent product for the price. I like how the mount is behind your license plate so the camera system is mostly hidden from view. I will buy this product again for my older Mustang as I originally planned.

I purchased two backup cameras with mirror for Christmas. This one and a Vox. I installed both devices and was blown away by the Vox, this one, not so much. I currently own a Pyle radio with a backup camera and I love it.The issue.......The camera is fine, but this mirror is not. The mirror glass is dark and distorted. If I had to look in the mirror for more than a couple seconds it almost makes me dizzy.I returned this one and ordered another Vox!

Quality is good considering the price, but is a bit worse than models costing 2x the price at around a hundred.That said, it needs a larger diameter hole to pass the wire through, and needs a 12v power connection up front as well as the reverse light power connection.All of those would have been OK for the price had it came with a couple of adapters for different cars. It came with none. Fits mostly Toyotas and that's it. Adapters are available on Amazon but are not cheap, so that somewhat negates the lower price.

Wanted to get the screen into my car without having to have an external screen somewhere on the dash. Camera image is now in the rear-view mirror, important in a Miata, not a lot of room on the dash.Printed material said something about a compass function but I can't find it. Suspect that was why this one was a returned unit. Probably a newer model has that feature. Overall it does the backup job OK.

Product has very poor installation instructions and after installed worked intermittently. I had to cut off the 12 vdc coax style connectors and splice the red and black wires directly to fix the problem. (very thin gauge wires)Also once it was working I could not figure out how to turn on the compass and temperature indicators. The directions state: "The mirror also has a compass and temperature features, long press the power button to ON/OFF this function, when the compass works, it will indicate the driving direction with 8 different directions. In temperature mode is alternating with outside temperature."Maybe I just have a faulty unit, I'll just keep it for the backup camera, its to much trouble to remove once wired. I also tried the pyle (have a question website) they want you to pay for a subscription before they will answer any questions. I would hope that I would not need a 6 month subscription for problems, only had it installed for two days, guess I'll find out.

I can only give it 2 stars. The mirror and camera looked of good quality. The instructions and provided wires were not the same. It even said in the instructions may need a small length of wire to hook up the DC wire. The video cable was also short for my short bed truck. I tried my best to make it work following the provided instructions. As instructed, I connected the power to the reverse wire but no picture to the mirror. Since it was to late to return, I threw it in the trash. Unless they improve the instructions and/or provide the correct wires, do not waste your money on this. Just my honest 2 cents worth.

I installed this PLCM4565 today through Best Buy Geek Squad. Looks good like the original OEM mirror. Even though they say this model has "Compass and temperature" Display, did not work as stated. Geek Squad told me to contact the Pyle support. I mainly bought this because it had the compass. My original mirror had this feature... I'm very disappointed that these features are not working as advertised and on top I wasted installation cost.NO CUSTOMER SUPPORT FROM THE SELLER - PYLE. I sent multiple follow-up emails and no response at all.
