Although the longevity is not known (just replaced old battery), this battery looks promising because as soon as it was hooked up to the central hub that runs door security and smoke alarms, the system was activated and hence now the operating system is up and running. The older battery (maybe ten years old) indicated "low-battery" on key pad, and so to sell a condo the smoke detector portion had to pass. Battery is reliable.

This is a great quality alarm replacement battery, and easy to install. It worked right away when installed and connected to the motherboard immediately. Definitely cheaper than batteries in the stores I looked into.

This is the same battery your alarm company will charge you $150 to swap out every three years or so. That is about the life of one of these. It seems the service call is $100 and the price for the battery is about $50. They walk in, swap out the battery by unplugging two wires off the old battery and plugging them on the new battery and fumble around trying to look like technicians for 10 minutes, call the office to see what's for lunch and " run the test " - collect the money and go on their way. Good battery, less than nothing to swap it out, save yourself $130 - BTW the battery place at many Malls ? About double this price, but they will take the old battery to recycle it.

Needed a replacement for an old battery in a back up UPS. Much less expensive than those from manufacturers of UPS units. Make sure to measure your old battery exactly so that this one fits inside your UPS device.

I purchased this battery as a replacing battery for my ADT alarm system. This was the recommended replacement battery but it never seemed to work right after I installed it. Randomly it would die. My alarm keypad would beep signaling that the backup battery was dead. Inconveniently this would happen in the middle of the night. I would clear the code from the keypad and forget all about it. Until days later when it would do it again. Coming to realize that at some point it was somehow recharging or it as never actually dying. I moved from that house a few months later. So I don't know what the battery is doing now. In the sellers defense, I didn't contact them for replacement as I initially thought it was my alarm back up that was the issue. Once we realized it was not, we were moving and that took precendence over the battery

This is a battery back for a garage door opener and the only way I can truly rate this would be if the electric went out and I needed it due to a power failure. This hasn't happened. What I can say regarding this battery is that the previous backup battery I bought didn't require us to solder any pieces to the unit which my husband needed to do for this one. That is why I gave it four stars and not five. Regardless, the unit is no longer flashing the red light and is shows a steady green which indicates to me that it is operating.

The battery arrived quickly, was charged and ready to go, and installed easily. It replaced a similar battery that was 7 years old.
