LOVE LOVE LOVE
I adore this phone. It even looks better in person than online. I was just talking to my daughter on this phone and the sound was perfect, much better than the previous phone we had. It is old school - no caller ID so be sure you are comfortable with that. Also, if they suggest that you buy an extra long cord and cord detangler, DO NOT! Amazon is making that suggestion and the cord is permanently attached, you cannot switch it out. I had to pay the return shipping on that, bummer when Amazon prompted me to buy them. It looks fabulous in my new kitchen and we have plenty of other phones that are cordless for when we need that. And this one works when the power goes out! Swanky and fun.

Great looking phone
The phone looks fantastic in my all Stainless Steel kitchen. It looks much better that anything else, which it served it's purpose. As far as quality sound, not so good, there is a slight buzz in the background constantly. I have several cordless phones throughout the house, an when you hang up the cordless phone, this phone gives off a slight ring, only for a second. I will say, I get nothing but compliments on the phone when people see it, but just not the best sound. If someone is in the same room as you, they have to be quite as a mouse, otherwise, everything Echoes in the phone. If you are buying this phone, buy it for its incredible looks. If you are buying for an everyday phone, I would definitely pass.

Very poor quality
I've had this phone for two months. I was worried about some of the reviews but bought it anyway. It looks good. The sound quality is decent. One major flaw is that it is very hard to tell if the handset is properly seated on the hook until you get the fast busy sound indicating that it wasn't. My wife and I both have trouble with this. The normal action of placing the handset on the hook, more often than not, does not actually hang up the phone. It takes a little bit of extra pressure to actually seat the thing properly and it is hard to know how much extra. The hook doesn't seem to travel downward any further, it just needs a little bit of extra downward pressure. This is a very poor design. When the handset is placed on the hook the hook should travel down and that travel should always be sufficient to engage it. The other problem that we have is that the ringer often just does not work. It'll work one hour and then stop working next only to continue working again the next. Our other phones are ringing but sometimes they just aren't where we can here them. I'm going to replace the phone. It is just not acceptable.

Good looking phone, however it is plastic and does not have brushed finish
CONS: It's not brushed at all. It is sliver in color and not metal. Rather it is plastic. If you drop the receiver onto a hard surface, it would probably would crack/break, so you definitely need to be careful if you plan to actually use the phone. PROS: It is a nice looking phone. If you have an existing wall plate installation is a breeze. If not, hardware is provided so you can place it on the wall, although I would personally recommend using with a wall plate. It actually uses bells for the ringer, so the sound is nostalgic. It's push button which is great, because if you have digital phone service the analog pulse dialing will not work. I gave it 4 stars because I do not plan on using the phone as primary, but rather bought it to cover an exposed ugly wall plate on a kitchen backsplash and wanted something aesthetically pleasing.

Stylish and functional
This phone works well but looks even better. I have had this phone connected to a regular landline as well as a cable phone line (through the modem) and both worked great. Currently I don't have it hooked up to the phone line (the line was damaged... but the phone still works great) but I have it hung because I love the way it looks in my kitchen. One thing you should know is that the curled line going from the headset to the phone base is extremely long... it almost touches the floor from where it is hung. While this lets you move a good distance from the phones base while chatting it is a bit too long for my taste... unfortunately it is not removable or replaceable (at least not with standard phone cord). It still looks cool though, and we all know that is the most important thing!

Great retro look to this phone. Exactly what I expected. Update: Sound quality is very poor. Always a hum on the limp neck when using it. Also the finish is beginning to tarnish so it’s lost some of the appeal it had in the first place. Reduced stars to 3 as it’s ok as a decoration but not a very good phone.

My daughter wanted this for Christmas. It was very cheaply made. Outside material was not metal. Was plastic. Phone moved when making or answering a call.

Ordered a Crosley wall phone. As soon as it was plugged in, it tied up the phone line giving off a busy signal. I contacted Crosley for replacement and was told to contact the retailer. I did and Amazon refunded the purchase price,

I purchased this product on behalf of a friend. The quality is not as good as previous Crosley phones we've purchased in the past. The composition is mostly plastic versus stainless steel and the clarity of a conversation is maybe 1 out of 10; 1 being poor. When you speak with someone on a cellphone, its very hard to hear them; the sound is muffled. Not worth the cost. Very disappointed.
