Fantastic little 2 in 1!
I love this little thing, I really can't recommend it enough. I bought a refurbished Asus T100 from Gamestop and it wasnt even reformatted, it was obviously a floor model because it still asked for the gamestop password! I returned it immediately and found this gem about a month later. The product arrived quickly and was in great condition. I honestly couldn't find anything that would have given me a clue this wasnt a brand new product. The form factor is fantastic, I really don't understand how this form factor hasnt dominated the 2 in 1 market and the Yoga style flip products have. The battery life is ok, I just use this as a couch companion so with intermittent use it will last a full day, If I use it consistently I get about 4 to 5 hours. As far as specs go it's pretty much on par with the T100 but I was quite supprised on how snappy this thing runs. I hooked it up to a 27" monitor with the micro hdmi, plugged in a Logitech K350 keyboard mouse combo, extended the displays, and ran YouTube videos on both screens and it ran without a hitch. I wouldn't say this would be a desktop replacement but it runs Picasa fine, with chrome open in the background with no lag. The keyboard on the Switch trumps the T100 in the fact it has two full size shift keys, which may sound overly critical until you actually type on it and realize how huge of a differece it makes on these smaller keyboards, trust me. The Switch doesn't have a USB 3.0 on the keyboard dock like the T100 but it does have a dedicated charging port which allows you to charge the unit while having access to the micro SD for peripherals. I really hope Acer continues to use this form factor for years to come, it's really the best 2 in 1 type experience out there.

Great Buy for the Money!
This is a well designed, straight forward tablet computer with keyboard. I like the fact that the keyboard actually snaps in. This makes the connection more secure, and gives the tablet a more "laptop-like" feel. For the most part, the computer runs pretty smooth, but don't expect it to be super fast, it is still a tablet. However, it handles all tablet functions well. The tablet is on the heavier side, but not much for the average person to complain about. The screen quality is nice, but the speakers are lacking. However, these are speakers coming from a tablet computer.Even though this is a tablet, is runs the desktop mode pretty well. As long as you're not overdoing it, you can switch pretty easily between the desktop and tablet modes. When I first received the device, it came with Windows 8 (which ran fine). I went ahead and upgraded to windows 10. The first time around, it did not download properly, but after a few corrections, the install went ok. It doesn't have any issues running it, so if you're considering doing it, I would suggest it. It's worth the upgrade.I'm happy this tablet has many ports plus the option for Bluetooth. This gives it more flexibility than some other tablets. 4 out of 5 stars because this is a great tablet, just not the best. A little on the slower side, but that's to be expected. If it wasn't as limited, I would've gave it 5. But it could fit into the lives of many different types of people, just not the types who want a high-performance tablet.

Great keybord and great battery life.
I looked at the Acer Switch and Asus Transformer. I also happen to own a Dell Venue 11 (the i5 version). I needed something super light for travel, with a good keyboard, and good battery life, that could also have the muscle to stream video well, and the Acer works great. And although it's not as awesome as the Dell Venue 11 keyboard (with the battery), the Acer keyboard is still a pretty good keyboard. When deciding between the Acer and Asus, my two main concerns were battery life and a great keyboard. It turns out I had to make a choice since the Asus has a much longer battery life, but the Acer has a much better keyboard. Not that the Asus keyboard is bad--when I tried it the keys were just a little small and that made it feel uncomfortable for all day typing. The Acer keyboard, however, is very spacious and very similar is layout to the Dell Venue 11 keyboard with the battery (the Dell is one of the best keyboards I've use and right up there with my beloved Lenovos). The only issue with the Acer keyboard is that it feels a little cheap. I'm a keyboard snob, so "a little cheap" may be awesome for someone else. And at the price, you certainly are getting more than you paid for with the Acer. Before getting it, the one issue that really concerned me with the Acer was the battery life, which I find is pretty close to the advertised 8hrs or so. The Asus tempted me because of it's 11 or 12hr battery life, but I just don't imagine needing that more than once a year, and I also suspect because the Acer has a traditional charger (not a micro usb) that it charges up faster than the Asus (I haven't tested that, but I've read it in other reviews). Again, I haven't tested how long the battery lasts, but I can stream several movies and tv shows and still have plenty of battery left.

Happy wife, happy life...
Bought this for my wife to use for work since it always travels with her. Only complaint is that the keyboard has to be unplugged and plugged back in a few times a week when it's not working. I was a little worried since most devices like this sell for $100 more, but the build quality is ok and it runs Windows 10 smoothly. I added a 64gb sd card for storage and have about 48gb free on the computer out of 64gb.The proprietary charger is a little bit of a letdown, but it does free up the micro usb port so I have one there and a full sized port on the keyboard dock. The dock has no battery but is weighted so it can hold the tablet up at an angle without tipping over.Update 7/14/16It turned off when she was using it plugged in and will not turn back on. Still indicated battery is charging and getting full, but it will not turn on. Tried holding power for 30 sec to reset, also holding power and up volume, power and down volume, power and both volume, and basically any other combination I could think of. Plugged into TV through HDMI in case it was a screen issue, still nothing.
