Transcend 16GB DrivePro 200 Car Video Recorder With Suction Mount (TS16GDP200M)

This was my first ever dashcam, and I've greatly enjoyed it. I bought the camera just over a year ago. It's easy to play back videos immediately on your device in the car, and it's simple to remove the SD card to put videos on my computer. The camera has Wi-Fi compatibility too, though I've never used it.The three things I didn't like about this camera were, firstly, the sound quality. While the video quality and user interface are excellent, the sound quality is very disappointing. It is not as clear as I'd like, and sounds kind of cheap.The second issue I have with the camera is that it is VERY visible. When I moved to a city, I was concerned that someone would try to break into my car and steal it due to it's obvious placement in my front window. That never happened, but I was always worried about the camera's visibility to others.Thirdly, this camera has a feature in which it beeps and makes a locked "Emergency Recording" file when the camera is suddenly jolted as it would move in a crash. In a car accident this would be a very useful feature; however, I noticed that the camera's detector seems to be very sensitive, to the point that hitting a small dip in the road, or even using my windshield wipers on occasion, would set off the "Emergency Recording" feature. This is probably my biggest complaint about the camera. Having to unplug and replug in the camera's cord to stop the emergency recording was very annoying.Overall, I was satisfied with the camera, and it still works just as well as it did when I bought it. If you are looking to get your first dashcam that has a good quality camera and user-friendly features, I would highly recommend it. Just be aware that the audio isn't great, and its emergency feature is sensitive to even slight bumps on the road.

After long waiting.. and watching sample videos and reading long reviews deiced that I want to try it and buy this camera.. I was looking for the camera for the truck Im driving whole day.. It is a semi truck Freightliner Columbia.. so I needed a camera with a really wide angle at least HD recording and durable for the whole day in direct sunlight.. and I bought couple days ago my review is after 3 days of recording it and using in a 12hours time frame in direct sunlight.. So Camera works really Good no interuption in recording or turning off byitself... Power cable is really long.. the plugin for the cable in a camera is nice and stiff. Screen in the back is nice You can view live recording and files that got recorded I bought with a 16GGB memory card so its good for 4hrs with a 1080P 30fps.. It got a date stamp with a time.. and what I like the most this Camera got wifi.. only thing you got to download app called DrivePro New and connect to the camera wifi and you can view live or playback files and even download it to the phone only cons when downloaded to phone the file is a. mov file so when u wanna playback on ur phone u got to either convert it to mp4 or download a for example vlc player.. But overal IM RECOMMENDING IT FOR ALL TRUCKERS!!

Nice camera with a user friendly interface. With a short charge I was able to setup without refering to instruction sheet. Video quality is very good in daylite. Have not tested it for night time use. The wireless feature that allows you to review videos and adjust the camera setting is a big plus. It works well on my Android phone. If I had one wish it would be for a different mounting bracket so the camera could be mounted closer to the top of the windshield and more out of view from outside the vehicle. There is no easy way to access the battery without taking the camera apart and there is no mention of battery replacement in the manual. This will become a problem in the future. Hopefully it will last for a good while. Time will tell.Time tells all. It's two years later and I just ordered 2 more of these cameras. They are not 4K, but picture quality is very good. These units give rock solid performance regardless of extreme heat or cold conditions. Record with Key on, shut down with key off. I now have one mounted in the rear window for extra coverage. I have also added one to the rear of my Motorcycle due to the increase of hit and runs lately. Better safe than sorry, This is the camera I trust to work first time and every time.

Decent dash cam at a reasonable price. I've been using mine for 9 months or so without any issues. It was easy to set up and install, and once I did I pretty much forgot about it. It's survived a cold winter and now a very hot summer here near Philadelphia. The suction cup only fell off once in all those months (hot day).This is my first dash cam so I can't compare the video quality to others, but I'm fairly satisfied with it. Reading license plates can be challenging unless you're fairly close, but otherwise the overall scene is generally clear and reasonably exposed.There's a companion mobile app you can use to download videos, but on my iPhone it tends to crash at times, and in any case is so slow to download videos that it's impractical to use.Overall though, it's simple to install and configure, simple to use (install and forget about it) and provides decent quality videos when needed.

Product is good. If you want safety, then please go ahead and get this first for yourself. This works just fine. The only problem is it says that it records at full hd resolution. But full hd is like just hd. But this is not a big deal to deal with. So without worrying go for this. And this is the best cheapest product which you can buy.

Nice video quality in day light and in night will solve the purpose but dont expect miracle. Bit costly . Has capacitor backup for few seconds.Suction mount included and is fixes well.Power adopter is too big and better use third party mini USB cable and 12V card adopter.

Delivery and installation was good. Product build is also good.Cons: App interface is not smooth and looks outdated. I have installed the 16 Gb sd card which came with the box and I am having horrible experience as the camera throws up memory card error after 10 minutes of driving. I think there is a software issue.Do not buy as this is a 2015 model which is still being sold on Amazon to unammusing customers who want to buy a good brand. Rather go for cheaper new models (even if they don’t have a brand). This is outdated technology.
