Cooler Master Gemini S524 veer 2 provides excellent performance in a sleek and unique package. Features 120mm silence fans for higher air pressure, lower noise output. A unique top-down accelerated cooling design dissipates heat for the CPU, memory, and the motherboard. X-vents air-guide design places 45 Degree angled vents around each direct Contact heat pipe to create a controlled air Vortex around the heat pipes in order to provide much higher efficiency for heat transference and much more heat dissipation.

Larger than Expected - Fits most of the Sockets
After watching several Youtube videos, I was still in the doubt of Air vs Liquid. Due to space limitations and to save some money for other components I decided to go with this model that is shorter than most of the Air Coolers in the market. However, it takes a lot of horizontal space and the only way I could install it was on top of the RAM memory slots. Therefore if I need to replace or add more memory I will have to remove the cooler and re-install.Installation on a LGA1151 socket was not difficult but due to the size and weight you have to be very careful during this process to avoid damage on the motherboard. It is important to mention that the package contains lots of hardware to be able to install on different Intel and AMD Sockets so you don't have to worry about compatibility issues for most cases. So far I could not test the performance during OC operation as I could not install the OS yet due to lack of time but I assume it will run some degrees above the most popular Liquid Coolers. If performance is an issue I will write another review.

Very Quiet & Cools Well
The Silencio fan on this thing is extremely quiet, even at full speed it's not really whining. Overall the cooler outperforms the stock Intel cooler substantially, I'm seeing easily 4-5* lower idle temps and more than 15* C cooler while gaming. The cooler has a small footprint where it attaches but occupies a lot of space above the mobo and may block PCI-E slots. This was a problem for me since I only have one and cannot use it now because the cooler would only fit in one orientation on my mini-ITX board... but it did fit.I'd say the only thing I didn't like was the adapter brackets are attached by 4 cheap soft-metal flimsy screws. I used a phillips wrench to tighten them and the heads immediately warped and stripped out as soon as they got just a little tight. So I will likely never be able to remove the brackets if I want to use the cooler on a different setup. Not a big deal but would have been nice if they used something like a quality hex key bolt that countersunk better.

Gemini v.2 with a 140mm fan: Socket 1151
Vibration on high RPM.If you are looking for high performance please read:If you push your 4 pin 140mm fan above 1500 RPM than you will notice a slightly increase in the vibration of the whole mobo and eventually of the chassis as you keep increasing it.This is due to the fact that how the Gemini ver2 is build. The base being very small compared to the top brings issues. And we all know that vibrations are not as good especially on a system with regular spinning hard drivers.Hope this helps for those who are looking on buying this CPU cooler and think on putting 140mm on it.

Great CPU cooler for the money!
This thing is great. "Silencio" fan indeed; I have built a few HTPCs over the years, but this most recent one is super silent thanks in part to this cooler. I couldn't even hear it when I first booted the system up (case off) and like a dolt I assumed something was wrong and shoved my finger in there causing it to stutter and the system to shut down with a CPU error--D'oh! Totally my fault. It is just THAT silent, that you don't know its on. But it does move air, and I have temp sensors on the heat pipes--it's doing it's job.Right now it's on sale and there's a rebate, so it's cheaper than when I bought it. So goodness gracious, buy this CPU cooler if it fits your case (and I recommend checking with a site like PCPartPicker; it's the easiest way to check for compatibility and room--no more measuring and second guessing like in the old days!--Cons: The only small con is that this thing is BIG. As such, it is a little wonky to install, or worse, having some unrelated mobo issues, I needed to take the fan off and reinstall. No fun. But note that it was not enough of a PITA for me to even remove one star.--Hope that helps!

Very versatile with AMD processors
Almost any good cooler will cool, but this one's just a bit cooler. Not only will it allow mounting in any of four positions on an Intel processor. It also allows mounting in any of four positions on an AMD processor. So, not only will it fit in the case, and clear the memory, and anything else that might be in the way. But, it can also provide airflow for the memory from directly above it. Many AMD-compatible coolers only allow mounting in one of two positions. This one allows mounting in all four using two different sets of brackets.Check the measurements on Cooler Master's site to be sure it'll fit your case. If it will, it's probably the best you'll find for AMD.

Huge, silent, keeps CPU cool at 4.5Ghz 100% load.
Huge, but keeps CPU cool even under 4.5 Ghz 100% load for 6700K. It is huge and I had some difficulties placing it in my Mini-ITX case on Mini-ITX motherboard. Had to turn it around to see where if fits. It is good that my case had about 2 inch space between motherboard and case wall to accommodate fan because it was bigger that my Mini-ITX motherboard no matter how I turn it. I would not recommend it for Mini-ITX case unless you have some room around motherboard (2-3 inches). But it keeps CPU cool and silent. I am surprised by that. Fan also covers huge part of motherboard, I could not even install one screw and had difficulties attaching 4 pin power plug to motherboard. But again, that fan is extreme for smaller motherboards, so it was expected.

completely silent, good temps, mounting is a PITA
good temps, the fan is incredible, you cant hear it even at full speed you cant notice the difference between on/off at normal distances, the bad thing is this mounting system if your case doesn't have a backplate hole and even then it must be annoying having to work on it with the case sitting upright, also it is quite big but not tall so it will fit any case, problem is you are always gonna block something on the motherboard every direction you try you either block rams or gpu or 8pin power cable or even a motherboard screw, so you have to decide which part is most reliable so you forget about fiddling with it after installing this heatsinkbtw I would love to see a 140cm version of this fan maybe even with led lights, yes, it is THAT good

Design Flaw
This product does not work with AMD FX series processors due to a design flaw.Using the AMD hardware, the cooler will not make sufficient contact with the CPU, resulting in overheating.

Can't get any better for 60 bucks and simple bolt-on
It is really quiet. With my OEM fan, it spins extremely violently when I run a program that's bigger than Chrome or office, and the sound was so irritating. With this fan, even when running Premiere CC it's still whisper quiet. I actually have to check my PC's LED indicator light to see whether the thing is on or off. You'll need to remove the motherboard in order to install it. It is a bolt on, not a clip on. It's perfect for those older processors that are running with a 2 or 3 generation newer OS. Now I feel like my 6 years old PC can probably last a few more years. Great upgrade for 60 bucks.

Works as advertised
I'm not a professional PC builder, not even an enthusiast. But that heatskink delivered on its promise to keep my CPU cool (at least 50 C less than the stock cooler) and I can't hear it even when I stick my ear next to the case. I think it is an excellent value for the money.
