Good for bigger folks while
Great bag for bigger guys. I have a 56in chest and still have plenty of shoulder straps for adjustmentVery comfortable and priced appropriately. Plenty of room for my 3xl hoodie, climbing helmet, Shirt, gloves, water bottle, and more. Highly recommend for comfort and price.

Lovin' It!!
I am loving this backpack!! I have never bought a hiking backpack before and after looking at Teton 20L backpacks, I knew I needed double the size!!! So, I bought this one and I have completely stuffed it. (Cant show pictures of inside due to complete stuffing.) The past reviews are true that the pockets are WAAAYYY DEEPER than they look in the pictures and there 3 giant pockets you can store things in, with the deepest being at the back of the backpack. Even the side pockets are super deep that you can put a water bottle and then some. To be transparent, I dont do hikes or anything, but I see the signs with Israel and Ukraine in the news and just wanted to stock up in case something happens. You truly never know what's going to happen nowadays even if youre not into politics and world events! Anyways, the whole backpack is water resistant. The straps for your back support are spot on. The ONLY concern I have is if this 40L (88lb) backpack is going to HOLD everything if I'm wearing it for hours for a really long time (e.g. 3 weeks). I kind of wish the strapping was thicker, especially the strap where you're supposed to pick up the backpack at the top, but I guess this is as good as it could get since it's not $100 or more. I do hope they double sowed this thing down in the factory to increase the durability and reliability of the product and brand.

Great for traveling
I've had this backpack for almost a year now, taken it on several trips and it keeps performing well. It has taken me from Santa Fe to Tybee Island. I have not travelled internationally with it yet, but I think it would meet foreign carrier requirements. I'll get right to it:Pros-Very roomy and durable! This Mountaintop backpack stood up to being jammed into overhead compartments and will fit under the plane seat if not over full. I used packing cubes from Amazon and was easily able to fit clothes for 5 days, a light jacket, my toiletries, extra sandals, and an Ape Case for my camera. I did bring a crossbody bag for my wallet and purse items. The compartment design is deep, it holds a lot! The rain jacket works well, and does a good job keeping things dry. The straps and buckles are sturdy, and the padding is very comfortable. I carried this on my 5'5" frame very well. If I needed to travel longer, I would stick to this pack and do laundry along the way instead of using a larger pack or case. I have embraced traveling light with no plans to go back to a traditional case. The blue color with the gray trim looks classic and the fabric is not showing signs of wear.Cons-Not many. The pockets are very deep, I tried using this for a day pack or work pack and it didn't function well. Small items slip to the bottom and it is just too bulky for my everyday pack. If you want a pack for a light day hike, again, the pockets are deep and I would use packing cubes or storage bags for smaller items or they will fall to the bottom. The rain sheet works well, but is a bit awkward to put on the pack, especially in the rain! I wish the little pouch on the waist band was larger. It would be more convenient if my phone would fit in it.Overall I think this makes an excellent travel and camping pack, but is not well designed for everyday work use or school use. It's also a bit much for just a light day hike unless you need to carry items for a whole family.

Really enjoying beating this pack into the ground.
So far I have only owned this pack for a week. I bought a three liter bladder for it that fit pretty well but the clips meant to hold it don't work with the one I got. It would have been nice if they had sold it with the bladder but that would cost more so I can't whine to much. I have found a way to hold it upright with the creative use of hair ties I'm sure most of you can figure something out.I bought this pack at the full price and consider it a great buy. My intention at the time had simply been to carry extra clothes and towels for my kids on day trips. (there are 6 kids ages 2-10) There is plenty of space for what I need. I really love the hip pocket, I keep my nephews inhaler in it and I just feel safer knowing it's right there where I can reach it. With my old pack it had to be in the front pocket because I prefer to have it behind a zipper but this is so much better.I am happy with the material and workmanship. It is light weight and at first I was worried but we went rockhounding and it really shined. Not only did it not end up torn by my tools when I fell it also held the fifty or so pound fossil the kids insisted we take home. The padded waist strap made carrying the ridicules rock the two and a half miles home not nearly as bad as I thought it would be.As an added bonus when I take most of the clothes out and tighten everything down it makes a great padded backrest while I mow. I know it sounds silly but the sun just beats down and drains you when your mowing, even on a rider. roll up a towel for lumbar support and toss some ice in the bladder, I even take out the inhaler and stuck my iPod in the hip belt. (it's a tight fit) With the straps on my shoulders and the waist belt clip backward around the seat it stays in place great and makes mowing the yard so much more enjoyable.Oh and the whistle is loud!
