Living now in an area very close to the ocean, there is salt in the rain and in condensation. My granddaughter suggested Rain X to wash the exterior of my home’s windows. It is not suggested in the instructions but with care to avoid painted surfaces (I just applied it to the window glass), it works like a charm! The rain water sheds off beautifully. I love clean windows! I love steak free, shiny windows! This applies so easily and wipes off so cleanly, window washing is No Big Deal!!I will be using it in my car windows also (as suggested) for the safety it provides in rain! Rainstorms are heavy and blurry windows are a hazard!I love this product and have no idea how I made it to nearly 70 without having used it!

This product is absolutely amazing. I have been using it since it hit store shelves and this is one of 2 glass cleaners I use, the other is for interior only. It is very effective at cleaning windows that have not been cleaned in years, as I recently used it on a truck that sat without being washed for 2 years. The difference between RainX and no RainX is night and day. It makes driving in the rain so much safer, especially if you live in any area with a rainy season. It also helps keep the wiper blades in working order as they do not have to work as hard to remove water. The spray bottle is easy to use, just twist the cap to the on setting and get to spraying. The bottle looks good and is comfortable to hold and use. As of yet, I have not noticed any streaking, but I always follow up with a dry microfiber after cleaning the windows. It is well worth the money. Once you start using RainX, you will never want to drive a vehicle without it again. 5 stars simply isn't enough for this product. Spray it on the glass, use a microfiber to wipe/clean the glass, then use a different, dry microfiber to remove any residue and you are done. Please, for your own safety, give it a try.

This is a great product for cleaning exterior auto glass. It doesn't leave any streaks and dries pretty fast. It also works well with standard microfiber cloths.As far as repelling rain, it does about 0ne third as good a job as regular Rain x, but that's good enough for me.

I bought this for a foggy window due to humidity that I had a big problem with on the INSIDE of my car and after using this it cleared it up perfectly and now I can see very well while driving. I do notice even with rain I can see better now too only down side is that it does leave streaks IF you don't double wipe your windows. Besides that 9/10 rating!

I purchased this Rain-X product for my home's windows, and I'm so glad I did! Rain-X Glass Cleaner and Rain Repellent has completely exceeded my expectations. I use a microfiber cloth to apply this to my car's windows. It effectively cleans the glass without leaving streaks behind. Mild smell and the bottle lasts a long time. When it rains, the water beads up and runs right off the windows. Worth every penny.

Works great. DIY detailer. There are definitely better ways to leave water beading, but this is a great cheap and quick way to clean and renew that water beading. This formulation is a bit better than the one that's just for water repelling. Given how cheap it is, it works great. The main downside is that it doesn't last long. If you are using this by itself, it'll probably need to be renewed essentially every car wash. If it rains regularly, you can kind of see it wear off. I find that if you use your windshield wiper and fluid often, it'll wear out even quicker.That said, you really can't beat this for the price.
