Q: I have a coin that’s 2 inches across and think as a silver dollar. Will the coin holder fit this?

No they won't fit. These ones are roughly 1 inch wide on the male insert. Even 1 inch may be an incredibly tight fit.

Q: Do they fit standard US coins, 50 cent and below?

No they will not fit a 50 cent coin. The case is just a hair to small for them. Every coin smaller then 50 cents fits just fine.

Q: How thick is the plastic case when close?
