Thank you for this part Dorman!
The positive battery cable on my Ford F-150 was constantly getting extremely corroded. I was dreading replacing this cable and connector, but this Dorman replacement part made it very easy. Dorman makes replacement parts that solve issues with the original OEM parts. This part is no exception to that. The original Ford positive battery terminal clamp has the starter wire attached by a strongly crimped connection. This would be near impossible to remove the cable from the crimped connection without damage to the wiring. The cable is bundled into the wiring harness with other cables and has no additional slack in it. Dorman designed a replacement part that allows you to cut the original battery cable just below the crimped connection, and then Dorman included an extension that allows you to connect to the shorter cable. Everything fit perfectly and works perfectly. All of the original cable connection points were provided in exactly the right place on the Dorman part as well. Hopefully this connector will be much more corrosion resistant than the original part, but even if it needs replacement in the future, it will be very easy to swap out with another new Dorman part. Dorman hit a home run with this part! And I am very thankful for that.

Perfect replacement for 03 Ford Expedition 4.6 V8 Eddie Bauer
This was a lifesaver. I thought I was doomed when I broke my 03 Ford Expedition Eddie Bauer battery terminal after cleaning. I looked online and it only showed a oem terminal with a long cable. Then I found this on Amazon! After reading a few reviews, I decided to go for it, and I’m glad I did. It’s been almost a month, and the truck is running great with no issues. The only thing I did notice was the first day I started the truck, it felt a bit accelerated when driving, but it went away the same day. After that, zero issues. I highly recommend buying this over the knock of for peace of mind.

Good product but needs modification for a 2017 Ford F-250
I gave this product 4 stars because overall I think it is well designed and quite versatile, but I had to modify it significantly to make it work on my 2017 Ford F205 diesel pickup truck. The first picture shows it as it came in the box. The second is after I had to cut off the tab that normally would attach to the positive wire, but it wouldn't fit when it was mounted on the battery post because the tab would have interfered with the break fluid tank off to the right in the third picture. I eventually didn't unclamp the wire but cut off the part that was corroded through and drilled a hole in the remaining part so it would fit on the tab of the new post clamp. I have to admit, Ford made it about as difficult to get at as possible so the job took about twice as long as it should have.

Works / Fits great on 2011 Ford Ranger!
Searched for a replacement battery terminal clamp for a 2011 Ford Ranger (as seen in pics - both terminals were highly corroded and after a wash in hot water with baking soda, the Positive clamp was to far gone to pass any substantial voltage to start the truck) and there was no such part except for the $140 replacement harness. Found this clamp and it looked like what I would need, so ordered it. The hardest part is getting the old clamp off as it is crimped onto the 2 cables coming from the harness. Vice Grips came in handy for this and after wrestling with it for about 10 minutes was able to get the cables freed without shredding off too many of the thinner copper wires. This clamp easily attached to the harness cables. I put some Thread Lock on the 2 bolts that clamped down on the cables. Added a coating of corrosion deterrent to the terminal. Truck started right up. Very nicely built clamp. You don't need need the extra lock nut and post that are on the clamp, for the Ranger. May get the grinder out and remove the tab that the post is on. Other than that, this is a rugged clamp that worked out perfectly.

Perfect match
Corrosion ate the positive terminal on my ford expedition. Autozone, Napa, O’Reillys and local hardware shop didn’t have a decent replacement so I bought this after doing some research since I couldn’t find a matching pair for the extra cable that needs to be bolted to the battery. Works perfectly.

Quality build
I liked that the unit has several studs to connect ring terminals, and an option to connect a bare copper cable. I remove the bare connector and used its stud to connect a ring terminal. I don't know why it seems the companies who sell these complex looking battery terminals, don't include, or sell separately, rubber covers for them. It's maddening! Regardless, this terminal is of good quality, and fit my needs.

I bought this for my 08 f150 as the factory one was worn out. As another reviewer mentioned, amazon says it wont fit my truck but it does the job fine. Use a dremel and cut the factory crimp off, attach all wires to new lead, and you're good to go. No more loose battery cable and wondering if the truck will start.
