Akebono - ACT976 Brake Pad Set , GREY

Very pleased with these. The front brakes on my Tundra lasted 62,000 miles - started hearing the wear sensors. Toyota brakes aren't all that - they worked fine but any time I towed the boat, I basically had to stand on the brakes and panic stops were my biggest fear, especially on roads with higher speed limits. Needless to say, this wore my pads down even quicker. I also would have paid about the same for Toyota brakes as I did for the Akebonos. I did the front brakes myself - my rotors were in great shape and not scored, warped or glazed. These pads fit perfectly, were easy to install, and seem to be a quality product. I did take the time to bed the pads in correctly and noticed a bit of fade during that process, but that was repeated hard braking and not uncommon or unexpected, but I let them cool down and the next day when I drove the truck - couldn't ask for better. The brakes work great now - noticeable difference over the OEM pads. Absolutely no noise, vibration, or dust. I've only put about 300 miles on the truck since the pad replacement but I am very pleased with these.

This is the company that makes Honda and Toyota factory brake pads. I pay half what the dealer charges. Best pads on the market in my opinion. These last like the ones when the car was new.

After a week of use, including driving in rain and dusty conditions, there are no noises or vibrations. Braking performance feels better than OEM. No more black brake dust. I was tired of cleaning my black rims every week. Highly recommended!!

Akebono makes fantastic pads these are no exception for my 2007 4runner these ones say made in the US too. Quiet and good stopping power low dust and have perfect fitment nothing bad to say. only bummer is these and the rear akebonos at least from amazon for the 4th gen dont come with new hardware would've been really nice to put on new clips and guide pins but I sanded the guide pins shiny clean and re used the clips and pins and everything is working great so far just keep this in mind if you buy these not essential but would've been preferred..

I received the ACT 976 front pads. The box did not have any hardware, so I returned and ordered a replacement. Hopefully, the next box will be complete. If so, I will bump up my review. I have used Akebono pads on several vehicles, and I am pleased with them. Update: I returned and Amazon promptly sent me another set of pads. Only problem: There was no hardware included in this set also. I give up. Will get hardware from local auto store. Do not buy if you expect to have hardware included.

Quiet, work well, easy install

I have no problem with Akebono brake pads. My only question is if the Brake pads comes with brake clips in the box. The one I received didn't have a replacement clips.

These made my Lexus GX460 stop better than OEM. I did replace the rotors as well, but I'd highly recommend these to anyone needing replacements or looking to upgrade.
