UPDATE: Anker contacted me and offered a full refund. Excellent customer service!I know this only a $40 speaker, so I was not expecting Bose quality. But considering how good Anker products generally are I find the sound quality of this mini speaker disappointing. Bass is barely present, mid range sounds terribly compressed (like when you EQ mids too high) and overall volume is quite mediocre. The sound completely falls apart if you turn this speaker up beyond about 70% volume.This speaker would be OK on your desk or bedside table for listening to podcasts, but if you want something to fill even a small space with music, this is not the speaker. In my opinion it's only a small upgrade from the original Anker Mini I've had since 2016 (which is a fraction of the size of the Motion Q).

This is the second time I have bought an angler speaker in this price range and again I’m impressed with what you get. Still connects lightning fast, sound is decent without feeling like you are going to bug the neighbors. Should be perfect to throw in the bag when traveling on vacation (leave the corded “smart” speakers behind) Also should note the factory charge lasted about two weeks of varied use, expecting the full charge to last longer.

My Amazon Refurbished item came in badly scratched up, smelling of patchouli, and with terrible clicky sound that hints of a broken sound driver. If this is indicative of the refurbishment program I will never take a chance on it again.

This speaker with the size of a coffee mug sounds as good as possibly possible - I really like it. And it does not disturb 2.4GHz WiFi !A while ago I bought a bluetooth 20€ amplifier thing which works kinda well but kills all 2.4g wifi in its proximity. I bought this speaker for my summer days out in the garden and the beach. I have used it for only three days now and I have to say I am really impressed. I am not an expert when it comes to these things but I am very satisfied with the sound and the bass in general. Even in high volumes it performs really well comparing to other similar products. It does indeed last 10hour constantly playing music and the the Bluetooth connection is quite powerful even when the phone is in another room and you sitting outside. The sound I really amazing for such a small speaker. I would totally recommend this product.
