Feels a little plastic like but it works as it should and can turn around so easy to fit.

Resolved a problem easily....
With a small child in the house, plus cars that like warm places cables of any sort are an enticement. Our cats kept pulling the fibre out of the amp and the new TV stand to keep sticky fingers off the other side of the amp wasn't deep enough for the normal TOSLink cable end depth. This adapter solved the problem and the rear panel is now fitted. No more puss cats using the amp as a bed!!It engages correctly and because it swivels this allows a useable angle to be found which avoids the 50 or so other input and output points on my amp which it might otherwise foul.

I highly recommend this product
I despaired when I realised that my new Samsung tv would not allow me to use an audio optical cable with the wall mount as the wall mount blocked the entry point for the cable. I came across this product and saw all the favourable reviews and thought that this will do the trick. I have just successfully got around my problem. I highly recommend this product.

Product doesn't work
Seems reasonably well made but sadly it just doesn't work. Tried it on a Samsung UE40F6740SB TV and Orbitsound M9 soundbar and no sound was transmitted with the adaptor plugged into either the TV or the soundbar end. This was using the basic optical lead supplied with the soundbar. To give the adaptor a chance I then tried it with a much better quality lead and it still did not work. The leads both work fine without the adaptor. I contacted the company, Rockdale Direct, through Amazon a month ago but as I have still had no reply I will just put it down to experience. To sum up the product does not work and the company ignores messages.

Good for slimline wall mounted TVs
I use this on my wall mounted TV (Sony KDL-50W805C).I have a slimline wall mount that sits very close to the wall, so this little adapter does a great job of keeping things flush.

Good value Optical adapter
Good value Optical adapter. The VESA backplate on my TV blocks a straight connection, so if you're having an issue with a mounted TV, this ideal!
