I bought this as a cheap stopgap for the expensive electric razor that's still being shipped for our move. I'm pretty happy with it, it honestly almost works as well as my usual one, possibly even better on my moustache.

I've owned and been happy with an older Remington trimmer for close to 10 years. See attached pic. Best money spent. It STILL holds a charge for weeks between use. I use it without a guard to trim side burns, remove unwanted or stray hairs, and trim the back of my neck and square back up the back of my hair line. With the guard I tame down the chest hair or where ever needs it. I even used it during Covid to give myself a haircut because it wasn't possible to get one for so long. My adjustable guard attachment broke and I was sick and tired of holding it in position to trim what I needed to so I decided to pick up this newer model. That and figured the blades would be new and sharp another plus. So here's what I've learned, tips I'm sharing as well as opinions. First go buy blade oil and use it regularly. It will keep the blades sharp. Just run a small amount over the blades, turn it on and let it run for a couple of minutes, then you're done. The adjustable guard attachment is plastic NOT heavy duty so yes you can break it or strip it out if you man handle it or force it on or up and down adjusting the length. That's what the push button is for so just go easy with it and it will last a long time. I found out the hard way when one day it just started slipping down on it's own. I'd stripped it out as well as cracked it from over the course of time repeatedly pushing on the top of the guard itself or pulling it up by hand. Dropping it in the sink by accident a few times didn't help matters either I'm sure. Live and learn. This should go without saying but never leave the trimmer on the charger plugged between uses you don't need to and it shortens the life of the battery. Charge it up for a few hours and take it off and put it away. After using the trimmer for however long I need I put it on the charger for 4-6 hours and then take it off In my opinion I think the attachments nose hair trimmer and foil are just junk. Any brand trimmer I've purchased and tried they either catch or pull and are more pain inflicting than a convenience. Maybe others have better luck but I never have. Those looking for a close shave, this is not a electric razor/shaver it was never meant to be. It will never give you the results that one would. Save yourself the hassle and disappointment and dish out the extra money to buy a full sized and featured electric razor not a trimmer. I'm rating it 5 stars taking into account as of now the battery life will be the same as my old one. Otherwise it's identical in performance. One thing I was disappointed about is the pic of the product leads you to believe the 3 bars on the handle that light up green when plugged in are to indicate the level of charge. They're NOT it just lights up to tell you it's charging that's it. If I run into charging issues or it dies or a charge doesn't last as long I'll update and deduct stars from my review.

This was purchased to replace a Remington trimming kit that I purchased around 20 years ago. The old kit actually still works great, but the foil shaver attachment recently broke, and Remington recently quit selling it, so I really only purchased this one for the foil razor. I'm still amazed that my old kit still works great after 20 years, and I'll be surprised if this one even comes close, but time will tell and I'll update this review if the new one should stop working soon. I don't care for the pointed edges on the new trimmer, since that limits how it can be held, but it otherwise seems to work well. I've yet to use the hair clipper comb attachment, but it seems like it may work well. I really just purchased it for the foil shaver, which is smaller than the foil shaver on my old Remington trimmer. Being smaller makes it easier to work in smaller areas, which is nice, but it also seems to pull hair much more than the old one, so it's a trade-off. I haven't used any of the other attachments and likely won't anytime soon, but seem typical for an inexpensive trimmer. One thing I might miss is the charging station that came with my old Remington trimmer. This one comes with a travel bag, instead, which isn't as handy, but I really need to start storing my trimmers in drawers, anyhow. Overall, it seems like a nice, inexpensive trimmer. If the battery lasts anywhere near as long as my old one, then it'll be a real bargain. I've owned a lot of trimmers by various brands and this is a key reason why I'm returning to Remington, because the battery didn't last long with the others. Update: The foil shaver works well, although it pulls more than the larger one on my old Remington trimmer. I prefer the older one by leaps and bounds, but the new one does the job. I have to add that the adjustable comb attachment is quite nice, though. It's easy to use and it locks into position well, so there's no slipping to different lengths, unlike the cheap one on my old Remington trimmer. The manual fails to note the positioning lengths, although it seems quite obvious that the numbers represent the length in millimeters. It has lengths for every even millimeter up to 16mm and I only wish they'd included another one for odd millimeters.

I’ve had the previous version of this shaver for 5 years. I bought another one only because I lost some of the clippers. This is an extremely high value for the price. It’s incredible how inexpensive it is for the excellent performance and durability it offers.

Compré esta rasuradora más que nada para poder darle forma a mi barba/bigote y no con el propósito de darle uso a diario ya que prefiero mis rastrillos y navajas. La rasuradora es de buen tamaño, ligera y compacta, viene con sus accesorios para delinear, rasurar y otros como para corte de cabello (supongo que para uso rápido o ligero) y otro accesorio para los vellos de la nariz y orejas. -Los accesorios son fácil de quitar y poner y cierran bien sin sentirse flojos o mal puestos. -La pila recargable es de duración aceptable, en mi caso una carga completa ha durado un poco menos de un mes dandole un uso ligero cada dos o tres días. Lo que me choca es que el indicador de carga...no indica la carga jaja, solo indica que se está cargando y ya, así que no hay manera de saber que tanta carga le queda hasta que comienza a funcionar más lenta. -Para el uso que le doy funciona bien, el delineador (el componente principal donde le enganchas los clips para corte de cabello) es que más utilizo y corta bien. De todos los accesorios el único que deja mucho a desear es el de las orejas y nariz, en mi opinión es casi inservible ya que rasura muuuuuuuuuy lento y muuuuuuuuuuy pocos vellos a la vez. Fuera de eso funciona bien para el precio al que se encuentra. Es ideal para aquellos que quizá requieran de una rasuradora de uso ligero o de viaje. La pila ha mantenido su carga bien y los accesorios de rasurar siguen al 100 rasurando como deben de. Dándole su limpiada a los accesorios es lo que ha ayudado mucho a mantener el filo de las navajas. Me sigue molestando que la luz LED no indique la carga pero blehhh, ya ni modo! Subo la puntuación a 5 estrellas por su durabilidad hasta ahorita.

Originally thought the grooming kit was going to meet my needs exactly... After two months and only limited uses of ~ once per week, it no longer charges. Waste of my money.

Great little trimmer

Came with all the attachments I needed, works like a charm. Comes with a handy pouch to store everything in and it's actually a proper size too. Meaning, I can fit everything into the pouch with ease, it isn't a tight fit or anything. The different heads are easy to change out and it cuts cleanly, it doesn't pull or tug at my hair at all. The batter came precharged and it last a long time...I honestly didn't track to see if it last 15 hours or whatever it advertises. The nose hair trimmer works like a charm, I can trim my beard with ease, it's a good product, I can't complain. I used to use hair clippers to trim my beard, if you can believe it. This is way easier and more manageable.

It's small and cordless which makes it super easy to use. I use it on the shortest setting and it cuts well. I buzz off my whole head regularly with it and it's fast. I also use the shortest setting for my beard. However, the other lengths are difficult to use because the combs push the hair out of the way before it gets to the blades. You might have success if you're skilled and use another comb to hold the hair but still it would be tricky. For me this is problematic because I don't want to go on minimum setting (really itchy and risk of horrible mutilation) for more 'sensitive' areas. Also since those areas are irregular it adds another level of challenge. I find the nose trimmer useful, but the close-up add-on feels like a waste of time. The hair already needs to be super short beforehand, and then you get a closer shave that isn't as close as just using a blade, while taking a lot of time and effort. Also, mine actually came with 5 fixed length combs (#0 1.5mm, #1 3mm, #2 6mm, #3 9mm, #4 mm), not 3. Good buy overall. Good luck!
