excellent tool
I bought the Dremel 2500-01 Rotary Tool Multi-Vise, 3-in-1 Attachment with 360 Degree Stationary Vise, Stand-Alone Clamp, and Tool Holder , Grey to hold small wood carvings boxes, and other wooden forms as I work on them. I was a little hesitant but figured the price for the Dremel name would be justfied...and it is. Pros: ⁂ Easy to maneuver ⁂ Fittings are snug so pushing chisels and knifes through projects does not loosen them ⁂ Fittings are large enough to operate by hand without need for pliers or tweezers Cons: ⁂ Not sturdy enough for mallet work ⁂ Odd shape gives a large footprint for storage All in all an excellent tool I hope to use for many years,

Excellent Vice, Needs Spacer to Use as Tool Holder With Flex Shaft Attachment
I am writing this review to inform those who may want to use the vice as a tool holder with a Dremel Flex Shaft attachment. I will try to explain this as clearly as possible and hopefully the pictures will help. Because of the thickness of the Tool Holder Adapter that comes with the vice, when the the Flex Shaft attachment is threaded onto the nose of the motor the nut bottoms out and the Housing on the Flex Shaft Attachment does not come up tight. If you use the tool this way, when the shaft is manipulated the spinning Cable Adapter will contact the Housing on the Flex Shaft Attachment and make a grinding noise. What is needed is a spacer with the following dimensions: Inside Dia.=0.450, Outside Dia.=0.650, Thisckness=0.080 inches. The spacer is placed inside the plastic nut that attaches the Flex Shaft Attachment to the motor, and up against the metal Housing. This makes up for the space created by the Tool Holder Adapter that comes with the vice and eliminates the play that allows the parts to grind. I really like the features of the vice and this method of holding the tool works great for me. I think it is much better than the tool holder posts that you hang the Dremel motor from. It would be nice if Dremel provided this spacer with the Vice for those who intend to use the vice as a tool holder when using the Flex Shaft Adapter.

Great Vise and Table Clamp
This vise worked perfectly to hold my Dremel and the sharpening tool. It secured my Dremel well to the table due to the excellent design of the clamp. Most clamps have a small metal fixed jaw and it will slide around and reduce the tension that can be applied to secure it. Other clamps will also damage the table top. This table clamp does NOT have that problem. The fixed jaw is big and it is a non skid pad so that the clamping pressure helps to firmly secure it to the table without damaging the table top. You don't need a great deal of clamping pressure to secure the clamp to the table, and still have it moving around, like most "C" clamps. It is a great design. It also comes with a tool that allows the Dremel to be securely attached to the clamp, as well as an additional vise for attaching other items to the clamp. The Dremel itself can be adjusted to slight horizontal angles, if needed, and then tightened down by hand easily so that it will not move. This is an excellent table clamp and vise for working on small to medium items. I used it to mount my Dremel to sharpen blades for a mixer, and, it worked as well as a bench grinder. Great little tool and problem solver. I ordered it for work and my boss was very impressed with my choice and the way the product solved the problem. Highly recommend.

Not just for Dremel...
Delightful little vise with a really decent grip. Solidly attached to my work table in the basement but easy to remove it whole or the top part. You can angle it, you can rotate it, you can take it apart and use the cross bar as a stand alone clamp style vise (on your kitchen table) :) Can you use it to rebuild your whole house? No. But its flexibility rocks and great as a third hand for your kids projects or repair work around the house and quick cutting (I use to to hold PVC pipe on one end while I cut with one hand and support with the other).

Very versatile and useful
Is a great product for detail deemed work! So basically you can tighten it in multiple locations to set it at the right angle and spot go roti to work and will grip your work piece, very easy you use, also can switch it to hold your Drexel tool instead, that way you can hold the work piece up to it and it’s firm and won’t bounce on you, very useful tool in my opinion, and have been using it for every project since I got it a few days ago!

Way better than expected
This is really nice. A little bigger than I thought. I am very happy with this and would highly recommend it. It looks extremely well made. It will work as a clamp and as a mount for the Dremel. This is going to make so many things way easier. Buy it, you'll like it.

Is It a Vise or Versa?
My take on the Dremel multi-vise, over all I like it even if it is 80% plastic. For some time now Dremel has been making most of their devices and accessories out of plastic, but their quality in construction has stood strong and durable. Pro's; This vise is no exception, the build and construction is robust it has a very heavy feel and solid stability. Is it intended for big construction jobs or to hold 2x4's, no it is designed for the smaller ones but make no mistake it can handle steel brackets and most objects that will fit in it's jaws. I like the added features, the clamp system can be used separately as a dove tail and with the added attachment it can be used as a work station to hold your Dremel. To give you a better idea this vise offers nice versatility and would be overkill for the small figure painters out there but that's a good thing. Con's; I wish the screw which holds the base to the table was metal or aluminum and there was a little more padding between the base and the table. I also would like to see some place holders for the extra attachments when not in use. I really like this vise and it's versatility. It's worth the price point. Mike R

Good accesorie to add to tool box
The item has hard plastic and metal materials, I hope it will be a durable accesory in my tool box. The intercambiable sections allow to adapt diferent situations where you need maintain stable materials or the dremel tool. Remember that dremel tool and its accesories are to small works, then its an error think that you can use to hard works, to that situations there are other options.
