It works great. Especially useful when using self drilling screws.Some have mentioned it only works with Dewalt bits; I only have Dewalt bits, so I can’t attest to that. My bits are about 2.25” in length as measured, but I don’t know what the package said when I purchased them.Note that you cannot set the bit to the furthest position inside the chuck on a standard drill. That will cause the device to push too far forward and not allow full engagement to the screw. Some have complained it doesn’t leave enough of the bit exposed. In my use that was only possible with user error, but different bit brands/lengths possibly cause this issue as well.Also, I found this very easy to remove and attach to a different bit. Just pull some tension while twisting back and forth. There are spring loaded detent balls for retention.Good stuff and highly recommend.

I wish it came with multiple head bits but it’s still a good item.

The media could not be loaded. Super strong magnet but they fit on the Dewalt FlexTroq bits ONLY! No other brand of bits not even any other Dewalt types like MaxFit for that matter but great for what they fit on

The dewalt drywall bit holder is truly impressive,as a person whom uses drywall screws on a daily basis I must say it makes doing the task much easier and safer. There's nothing more painful than a screw that wobbles around around till it misses and your finger is caught between it and any surface. The price is quite desirable and its functionality truly makes tasks a breeze.its durability is quite impressive and the ease of removal and ease of fitting to any drill makes it a keeper in your tool box.

I loved the original DEWALT FlexTorq Magnetic Bit Holder, Impact Ready, 2-Inch (DWA2SLVIR); and made a gift of it to the appliance installer who did our new dishwasher. I was certain I could get a replacement here on Amazon.My review ratings are for the older version. The improved version gets One Star, and a do not buy heading. There are generic versions of the DeWalt original that work better with all of your existing bits.I purchased the one pictured (in the first picture) and got one with the same model number that looks like the one in the second picture. The DeWalt package infers that it is new and improved compared to the previous version.You can see it needs a longer than standard DeWalt bit to work at all; which means you're out of luck if you only have the standard length DeWalt bits.I tried it; and was disappointed at how poorly it worked at holding, and installing screws. I returned it the next day. I do wish that DeWalt would change the model numbers when they change their products.If they could make it clear that the DWA2SLVIR is now the DWA2SLVIR-XL it would save a lot of frustration for shoppers looking for the older model. And possibly making it easier for Amazon to update the pictures of the tool being sold.

This adds magnetic capability to the flextourque bits, which is nice. however it falls off sometimes I had it in my toolbelt and not sure if it would get caught or what but I had it fall off a few times. Also, more then once it was in the way when I was trying to really drive a screw in as this prevents you from over screwing, which I wouldn't mind but the problem was it could still touch the screw so it would just start to bounce on the edges of the thread causing it to start to strip the screw.Overall I recommend it, but I feel something could be done to improve it.
