My favorite brand of diapers.
I've only ever tried three brands - Huggies, generic Kroger brand, and Pampers - but Pampers are my favorites so far. Pampers seem to be the perfect balance for an unusually long (she was in the 97th percentile when she was born and growing like crazy) and adventurous baby. I've been using this brand for the majority of her 9 months of life, with a few other brands I got at baby showers being used in between. I've almost never had leaks with Pampers, even when she sleeps in them over night. Now at 30.5" and 21 lbs, she's still in this style just a size bigger. I haven't needed to switch to cruisers even though she's been crawling and now cruising for 3 months. These just work too well. The Huggies weren't bad, they just didn't work well with my daughter's shape. They leaked a lot through the legs, but I'm willing to try them again with my next kid if the Pampers don't work. The Kroger brand was OK but don't have the absorbency of Huggies or Pampers and rarely lasted through naps or car trips without leaks. They didn't have wetness indicator stripe either, though with experience it's not hard to tell when your baby is wet. I had a ton of them from diaper cakes though, so I ended up using them when I knew we weren't going anywhere for a while. I've seen a lot of complaints about defects in the top reviews. I haven't ever had an issue quite like these folks have experienced. I had one set whose wetness indicators weren't working as well as others, but that was about it. Honestly even if I had a pack that was bad, it's pretty easy to return things via Amazon and you can't beat the discounted sets automatically showing up at your door. Just give yourself a little breathing room just in case and you'll be fine :) P.S. the Pampers Baby Dry 12 hour diapers are great for your kid to sleep in or take long road/plane trips in too :)

Best Diapers on the Market, Love the Wetness Indicator, Never a Blowout
We loved these Pampers Swaddlers diapers when we had our first daughter 5 years ago and now that we have a new baby, these are the only diapers I'll buy. They are excellent quality, far superior to Huggies and Luvs. The Swaddlers are so soft and flare easily around the legs and the tabs stay put on the front of the diaper, so with both girls, we've never had a blowout or leaky diaper. These easily hold 8 hours worth of urine from the baby sleeping all night and don't even leak when she sleeps on her belly with her behind up. My favorite feature is the wetness indicator. The indicator is yellow and when the baby wets the diaper, it turns blue so no more constant checking around the leg holes to see if the baby wets, a simple glance at the front of the diaper is all that is necessary. Even though these diapers are more expensive than other brands, the quality is well worth it when you don't have to constantly wash baby clothes from blowouts.

These are REAL Pampers!! Proof from an everyday mama! Amazing price!
After ordering this product I got caught up in reading the reviews left by others who had also ordered it. MANY customers complained that the diapers were "fake" and not similar to what they had bought in the store. A representative from Pampers responded to many of these buyers stating that the product had simply been upgraded and that some changes had been made, but they were in fact genuine Pampers. As an outsider looking in, I would like to verify that this is in fact TRUE! I would like to add that I gain nothing from writing this; more so just wanted to inform curious parents as myself. I have purchased two of these 216 count boxes from Amazon, opened them and discovered that they were the "older model"... (without the red markings that many have posted photos of). I also have purchased two boxes of the exact same diaper from my local Target and what do you know, diapers with RED lines indicating that they are the newer, updated diaper! Many customers complained that the red lined diapers were fake and that amazon was selling fakes. Well, seeing how I bought the supposed "fakes" from my local Target, I think the myth is debunked! They are both good, legit diapers, regardless of whether or not they've been "upgraded". Personally, I am thrilled to have found such as amazing price and I am buying as many as I think we will use!

Quality and Comfort for Our Little Guy - Same Diapers Hospital Provided
After reviewing diapers for waaaay too long prior to our little guy's arrival.. I vowed that we would only use the best, most expensive diapers because they're supposed to be safer, etc. The Hospital he was delivered at used Pampers Swaddlers, and we weren't sure how we felt about that after having done our "research". We had a diaper raffle at our baby shower and ended up with all kinds of different diapers. As a result, we've thrown that caution to the wind and have made sure we go through every kind we got as to not put them to waste. We've tried Huggies, Luvs, Honest Co, Seventh Generation, and a couple others I can't remember and none of them seem to provide the quality and comfort that Pampers Swaddlers do. We ran out of size 1 diapers from the raffle and needed some more to bridge the gap until he fits into size 2's so we went with what we know to be best for us. He literally had blowouts with all other brands.. not because of volume but because for whatever reason it just shot everything right up his back with no absorption. Never had a single issue with Pampers and maybe we're just lucky and he doesn't have sensitive skin or something, but he hasn't had a single rash, either. Knock on wood...

Best for when they're older babies.
We started our baby out with the swaddlers because that's what they had given us at the hospital. When he was an infant I liked these diapers for their soft fabric like feel, and the indicator. What I didn't like about them is the fact that they don't have that scrunch in the back so whenever he had the really runny infant bowel movements it would go up his back, resulting in many stained onesies and a mess to clean up. So I decided to give other brands a try, we tried huggies, targets brand, seventh generation, krogers brand and costco brand. I never stuck with any of these because they didn't quite perform well... Finally I decided to try the swaddlers again since he was older now and with not so runny bm. Then I found out that pampers did not have swaddlers For older babies, so I tried the other variations which is what I stuck with for a long time until I found out that they had come out with the swaddlers in bigger sizes. Now we're back to swaddlers and couldn't be happier! It fits him well, it never leaks, and it's good quality. The other pampers, cruiser and baby dry aren't bad either, but I still prefer swaddlers over those.

Pampers versus Huggies for a baby boy
Before my son was born, we were given lots of diapers and about half were Huggies and half were Pampers. After using both, we definitely prefer Pampers. In terms of leaks, Pampers definitely won out for us. My son is definitely a heavy wetter and Pampers will last all night (~ 9 hours for us) without pee leaks. In contrast, we regularly had leaks with Huggies, even during the day when he is changed every 2-3 hours. Huggies also leaked every single time we had a poopy diaper. However, Pampers does still leak about 25% of the time with poopy diapers. I am a breastfeeding mom and my son usually poops every 4-5 days, so when he poops, he is not messing around. I call it the poopocolypse (my husband prefers craptaclysm). We do use cloth diapers about half of the time and those are the only diapers that leak less frequently than Pampers, so Pampers are definitely still our favorite disposable. I also like the fit of Pampers better than Huggies. The newborn size fit of Pampers fit our son for over a month, while the newborn Huggies size was too small in two weeks. Pampers also has nicer stretchy tabs to keep the diaper closed and fitting well. I think those tabs make the each of the Pampers sizes fit for a bit longer. I find that this gives me more warning when I need to switch sizes so I can finish the current box before moving up to the next size, which is really nice so I don't throw diapers (and money) away. Both Pampers and Huggies have wetness indicators, which were helpful for the first few weeks when I didn't really know how to tell when the diaper was wet. I would definitely recommend Pampers over Huggies for a baby boy, my only complaint has been the few leaky poop diapers.

Best diapers onthe market
We just had our fifth baby boy. After every baby is born, my husband insists on using cheaper diapers, in hopes that doing so will save us money. But, every time, after I pull out the pampers swaddlers, he agrees that they are far superior and actually just as cost effective. Pampers Swaddlers and Cruisers keep the baby so much dryer than other diapers (including Pampers Baby Dry, which are not as good as the Swaddlers and Cruisers). Other diapers we have tried (including big name brands as well as bulk store brands) get so full that the moisture seems to seep directly through the diaper if you don't change it immediately after the baby has wet the diaper. And, even if it doesn't seep through, our babies seem to get diaper rash from being too wet if we don't change it immediately. Pampers Swaddlers keep the baby SO much dryer that we don't have to change the diapers so often and, therefore, use fewer diapers, saving more money and time. It's so frustrating to have to change a sleeping baby just because they are wet. With Swaddlers, we don't have to risk waking the baby because we know the diaper will keep them dry until they wake on their own. Swaddlers also don't seem to get as bulky as other brands and they seem softer than many others. I far prefer Pampers Swaddlers and Cruisers over all the other diapers I have tried (and there are alot we have tried with our five kids).

Perfect diapers. Prices need to stabilize.
All diapers are not created equal. These are great, Luvs are OK, and Huggies are overpriced pieces of dung, I would say, especially since Huggies are about the only big brand diapers that leak dung all over. There's an extra, seemingly less-absorbent layer in these diapers that help separate baby bottoms from wet cotton. Even though the effect is probably pretty insignificant, we appreciate that sort of little touch, as well as the wetness indicator which helps even our kindergartener keep track of what's going on with her younger sibling. We burn through about 300 of these diapers a month, and so far we have had 0 leaks of either pee or poo, 0 rashes, and 0 weird accidents. There's nothing more we could ask for quality-wise. Like others have mentioned, however, the huge price fluctuations are a pain to keep track of and totally goes against one of the benefits of Subscribe & Save which is Subscribe & Forget. I sincerely hope the manufacturer and Amazon get their heads together and solve whatever the problem is.
