Kizen Infrared Temperature Gun I bought this as a tool to measure the surface temperatures of various objects around the house that I felt I needed to temp; This includes boiling water, cast iron skillet, flat top grill, and even my car audio amplifier. I really just wanted to see how hot the amp got during use. It also turned out to be very useful in measuring those other things. I do things all the time just for fun, and I cook with the mentioned items quite frequently, and it’s very convenient for making sure they are up to temperature before throwing on the food, but should definitely not be used to measure internal temperatures. This item works well and is a good value. The build quality is about what you would expect for the price, being made of inexpensive plastic, but it works great. The unit turns on with the pull of the trigger, and the display is easy to read, and seems to be pretty accurate. It turns off automatically with inactivity so you don’t have to worry about leaving it on.

Cannot imagine using a griddle without this tool. This gives you the ability to know hot zones on your cooking surface. Also, allows you to know when griddle is too hot for the items being cooked or not hot enough. This temp gun works very well, especially for the price level.

The temperature guns work good

Truly it’s one of the things you never knew you needed. Got a new set of skillets and joined a facebook group on cooking with them. They kept talking about proper temperatures for cooking. Being a poor judge I decided to buy this. I now know why I was never a good cook, lol. Really I use it daily and often more than once. It’s easy, just point and pull the trigger and know if your temperature is ready to go. I think there’s many more uses but I’m so happy with my use for it that I bought another as a gift.

Awesome Unit. I'm not a carpenter, or trades person. I just wanted a Thermo Gun so I can make sure how efficient my home is or where we may need to concern ourselves with. Easy to use and works great. I was concerned about how much draft may be coming through the main outside doors compared to inside the house. It's a great unit for this. Even tested the windows. Great purchase and reasonably priced

I use this device mainly for cooking and barbecue. Readings are quick, clear and, as far as I can determine, accurate.

I think it's slightly off when measuring Body temperature ,,,about 2 to 3 degrees C

Really nice gun, but the provided batteries were empty. They were original shrink wrapped...but empty. But I have re-chargeable batteries myself so not a problem. Would buy again but hope that will never be necessary.
