A Great Source of Information About Tesla's Genius and a Major Lost Opportunity for Humankind
Not a glamorous production but an accurate telling of the story of how obsession with financial profit always stands in the way of humankind making the most rational choices. If the authorities of the time would have adopted Tesla's suggestions, we would have been able to prevent many of the serious problems we ended up being confronted with today. Tesla's vision about the future is still valid, and one can only hope the next generation will see the light at the end of the tunnel. The most significant moment in the movie is when Tesla shows JP Morgan, brilliantly played by Orson Wells, his drawings of all the amazing things he knew it was possible to build. That sequence alone makes the movie worth watching.

Movie worth watching, and worth thinking about.
It was a good movie. Tesla really was a genus. His discoveries led to many of the great improvements for human kind. He directly discovered many things that allow us to have the electric power we use every day, alternating current electricity for many uses. He indirectly led others to build on his discoveries, to discover many other things, radio, television, remote control systems, on and on.. Tesla did not get near the credit he deserves, for the ideas that have allowed the twentieth, and the twenty first centuries, to have great advances in how mankind lives. The movie was good it makes you think. It shows the concept of how money talks. Without the support of big money Tesla's discoveries may have never seen the light of day. I especially liked the statement in the movie where Tesla stated that he was not a scientist, he was not an inventor, he was a discoverer. I don't know if the statement is from Tesla, or the movie, but I like it, Man does not invent, GOD does, we discover. Tesla's discoveries were magnificent!

Good & important movie about a good & important man.
Good movie. The cover photo made it seem like it'd be a cheap or mediocre documentary, but no, this was a well-done biopic film, which gave a good feel of the times, places, and characters involved. And it seemed to align with the actual details of Tesla's life and career. I wish the filmmakers had included more about the intriguing alien connection, but even without that, this made a good and interesting watch. I only gave it 4 stars instead of 5, because like nearly all good movies, I can give it all praise but can't honestly say I "love" it, for I have to reserve that word for a more select group of personal favorites.

Excellent copy, great movie
This is by far the best movie about Nikola Tesla, that I’ve seen so far. The direction is excellent, the acting is perfect and the DVD is irreproachable. That is very strange, considering that it was printed by an unknown to me DVD house. I am highly recommending it. I have nothing negative to say about it. It does not have subtitles, but it’s very easy to understand because people talk very clearly and the sound track is very good.

Little known biopic of neglected genius
This is a great movie for Tesla completists, an interesting movie for fans of esoterica and obscure cult cinema, and a terrible movie for fans of serious film. I came to it as a fan of Nikola Tesla, and although the movie is flawed, it does still hold a certain naive charm. The main problem with the movie is the direction and dialogue. There's some great acting, with Orson Welles stealing the show and taking no prisoners in his sterling portrayal of industrialist J P Morgan. Lead actor Petar Bozovic puts in a respectable performance and accurate physical portrayal of Nikola Tesla as the quiet misunderstood genius, that at times unintentionally falls into parody. This is the fault of director Kristo Papic, who seems to have instructed poor Bozovic to replicate Tesla's physicality in almost every scene from the poses in the relatively few photos of Tesla available. Indeed Papic's direction is lame throughout; witness Tesla's mother's death scene for a hearty chuckle. Further flaws are evident in the dialogue, or lack of it sometimes, with the screenplay and narrative assuming the viewers foreknowledge of Tesla's life. Someone who wasn't already familiar with Tesla's story would be confused by the sudden flashback scenes and lack of continuity in the narrative thread of the film. It seems this movie may have only been intended for domestic (Former Yugoslavia) release only, as the script appears to have been clumsily translated from Serbo-Croatian into English, again making for unintentional laughs. Another frustration is the lack of production date in the credits or dvd cover. I'm guessing it was made in the seventies or early eighties. On the positive side, fans of b-grade Hollywood trivia will note a great performance by supporting actor Strother Martin.I cautiously recommend this for Tesla fans. As mentioned earlier, the film does have a naive charm, and is still worth watching for Welles' performance. A rainy day dvd. Hell it's no worse than 1970s Woody Guthrie biopic "Bound for Glory" starring David Carradine as Woody. So if you liked Bound, then here's an introduction to another neglected hero of the people, Nikola Tesla.

He has always been my hero.
For anyone that knows who Nikola Tesla is this is for you! And if you don't then he is the inventor of a/c electricity. This movie is kind of a romantic/very intuitive look into the mind of a genius. It shows his struggles to help humanity. Just watch it and enjoy.

Poorly done
I hoped for much more than this movie delivered. It looks to be quite old, from the 70s perhaps, and maybe not made in the US. I couldn't last more than fifteen minutes. Someone took a tremendously interesting man and subject and reduced it to poor late night movie status. Look elsewhere for relevant and interesting information about Tesla.

We shall soon see
We shall soon see what effects will befall us for ignoring this great mans advice and inventions in regards to free energy for the planet. There is no doubt in my mind that the government has all these inventions and more. They will and probably already are using it for nefarious purposes as they always have. They are liars and thieves of the highest order. Mankind is kept in bondage and in slavery when he could be free and prosperous. It's all about control and money ,,oh and lets not forget greed.
