Q: How is the battery life?

Amazing! I actually hardly ever charge it and when I do, it charges very quickly. For me, the battery life is 5-6 hours.

Q: Does this laptop have an open mSATA slot on the motherboard? I know the Acer Aspire V5-572G-6679 doesn't advertise it but it has one based multiple reviews. Thank you

No but you can add a second drive in the DVD bay using a DVD caddy. I replaced the hard drive with a 128 gig Samsung 840 Pro SSD ($114.99) for use as the boot/system/program drive, and then mounted the 500 gig drive I removed in a Universal SATA Hard Drive Caddy ($13.65) and put this in the empty DVD bay for the data drive.

Q: How does it do with Low Level GPU/CPU games such as League of Legends,Hearthstone and Counter Strike?

CS: GO runs on low settings. Hearthstone looks good on medium settings. Haven't loaded League, but Dota 2 has been running fine on medium settings. I had down graded to Win7, and the graphics drivers weren't installed. Once the drivers were configured, it works great.
