Update: The key is to use the activator liberally! So I have been using the activator, letting it dry and then filing and shaping, and then liberally apply for activator before applying top coat. This results in quick drying, perfectly shiny nails! Another thing I noticed that really solved any lifting problems was slowly building the foundation in the first few coats, starting out by only adding base coat and dipping the tip of your nail and working your down to the cuticle line over 2-4 more dips, depending on nail length.I’ve been doing dip nails for a few years now and usually use a combo of kiara sky and azure for the polish. I’m thinking the issue here either might be the activator (vs kiara sky’s seal protect) or there has been some change in formula since I last purchased this product. Normally I use base and top from azure and bond and seal protect from KS. Using all azure has resulted in thick, gummy nails. No matter how long I wait after applying the activator the dip is still rubbery and comes off in chunks when using the drill. I have tried applying it heavily and lightly and reapplying prior to top coat, but it never turns out. The activator never fully activated and the top coat always turns out looking wet, sticky, and dull.

This is the best too coat I have here tried. My nails last longer with no cracks or chipping. Just wish it came in a refill bottle.

The viscosity was just right. So often the base coat is thickened when you buy it. It only gets worse, of course, and in my experience, has to be tossed, at about half a bottle remaining. I do my own nails, always, but do not use products often enough for frequent replacement. Azure DIP arrived in excellent condition, and I've used it for quite a while now, with little to no degradation to the viscosity. While I wish it were slightly 'thinner' it is still very good. It's the best, and easiest base I've ever used. I get good results, always, and it holds as well or better than other bases I've used. It's an excellent product. My only complaint is the opaque bottle. Perhaps this explains the longevity of the product, but I like to see what amount remains for future planning.

So I was previously using Kiara sky dip powder and the brush used to get stuck together and dry down and I’d have lines all over my nails. About a year went by and I went back to use it and was very thick and took forever to dry and would go on like a clear thick coat which would crack eventually because it wasn’t as hard as a proper dip top coat should be so I found this and ordered it. It dries so incredibly quick and the shine is BEAUTIFUL. I am obsessed with how great my nails look and hard they are. No more cracking. My nails look professionally done. Thank you Azure!!

The first time I used this, I was happy it looked nice and shiny on my dip polish nails and it dried very fast ( I hate waiting for nail polish to dry). The second time I tried to use it, it was completely crusty and the brush was stiff as a stick and unusable! I had to throw it away! Its not supposed to dry so fast it hardens up in the bottle as soon as you use it once!. It is a defective product. Don’t waste your money.

I’ve been doing my own dip nails for a few years and my most frequent issue is the bottle of this step in the process would always cure onto itself no matter how careful I was when I used it, and even if I tried wiping away excess product. This guy however has been going strong after 4-5 uses and I’m sold! Definitely worth the buy!
