Seems like a solid well-built part.
Bought a pair of these for an outdoor storage bench that I made. The top is heavy and so it is nice to have these to assist in opening and keeping it open so that it doesn't hit me in the head.The included drill template was very useful in placing the holes.

Works Fine
These work fine on my cedar chest.The cedar chest has a very heavy hinged lid .These struts made the lid much easier to open.The main reason that I only give this product 4 stars is because of the installation instructions that are in Chinese are worthless .If you can convert millimeters to Inches and make proper measurements you can make these work for you on a heavy lid chest or box.
