Best Pen for Marking Official Documents in Blue Ink
Some people prefer to vote in blue ink to leave a trail for auditors. Finding a blue ink pen with the right hue and the right kind of ink is tough. Let the search for the perfect pen end with this pen, as the hue of the ink is dark enough, it’s not gel-based or paste-based and won’t gum up the machines, and it won’t bleed through paper. I just tested it today, so I know it works for the purpose. By the way, this pen isn’t just limited to ballots. It‘s useful for any other official document as well. If you’re looking for the perfect pen to mark official documents with, you can’t go wrong with this pen. Edit 04/05/2023 — 1:39 PM: I originally had a video that showcased the pen, but after my mom spotted her signature in it, I was freaking out, trying to make sure it wouldn’t end up in this review. Thankfully, the Amazon Communities team pulled all the photos and videos from my review, giving me another chance to go back and make edits. With this in mind, I shall leave you the four pictures I took during the filming. From right to left, the first photo is of the pen itself, the second photo shows that it fits in my tactical pen holster, the third photo showcases the hue of the ink, and the fourth photo is proof that it does not bleed through paper.

Wonderful pen!
I am a doctor and I write a LOT as I talk to my patients. This is the pen I use every day. It has a soft, translucent pad around the barrel which provides four benefits to me. First, it is fat and soft enough to be very comfortable to hold. Second, refill ink cartridges are easy to get, so I don't have to throw away a whole pen! Third, the ink cartridges on the fine point last a LONG time (I like that!). Fourthly and finally, I can SEE how much ink is left in the cartridge, so I know when I am getting low and will need a refill. In addition, the gel ink flows smoothly without effort, is waterproof as soon as it is dry, and it dries fast, so seldom smears or smudges. And the pen comes in bright colors in this translucent model; neon pink, bright turquoise, and purple. If I put down my pen, everyone in the office knows it is mine and will make sure it finds its way back to me! These pens last a long time. With daily use for three years, my last one finally broke when it rolled off an exam table and hit the floor for about the umpteenth time. The plastic cracked by the threads and I finally had to replace it. I am a long-term fan.

Comfortable and great quality
I use a pen all day every day for work. When I'm at home, I bust out a fountain pen but I can't have a drippy, messy pen at the office, and fountain pens don't require enough pressure for the triplicate forms I write out 10-20 times a day. This pen is comfortable to grip all day, has a really impressively consistent flow, and is big enough that it doesn't get lost in a sea of cheap ballpoint pens. It feels solid and durable, and I hope it lasts me for quite a while. This is the only ballpoint pen I will use anymore, and my day is ruined when I leave it at home. Highly recommend for all-day writing. It's a nice pen!

Addicted to Dr. Grip Pens
I love to write and can journal for hours. I landed on Dr. Grip Pens many years ago- Gel and ballpoint and have all colors. Love this pen. Lost one in Walmart and backtracked for hours trying to find it as if I had lost gold! Was checking in at the hospital one day and the assistant was using a Dr. Grip. We had a conversation about how we are both were enamored with this pen. Love the way it writes and the right size for my "grip" plus flows really smooth. Like one has a favorite coffee mug, these are my all time favorite pens. And just keep purchasing more of them!

Pen is grat, barrels cracked
I bought the blue & purple barrel pens, both have already cracked. The pens are really nice to write with though.

easy grip, smooth writer
My favorite pens, aesthetically, are the Parker Jotter and CARAN d'ACHE. But they are too skinny for my grip. So I have to put on a silicone gripper sleeve. Which destroys the aesthetic. I landed on these Dr. Grip pens which are now my favorite as far as grip. I have the gel and the regular ballpoints and they both write smoothly. Of course every refill is a little different and so I just pitch the rough ones and eat the cost. Most of them are smooth anyway. I see the beauty in these in terms of how they function, not the actual physical shape and design! Now I have six of them and rotate them daily at work. Now and then I'll use the Parker or the CdA without the sleeve, just for the aesthetic experience.
