I have been missing this ever since I upgraded to a smaller computer and ditched the old one with the disc drive. I tried a few different models offered on Amazon and just haven't had much luck. This one works! I wish that it had an external, obvious button that is not flush with the drive. I like the sleek design and all, but an obvious button would make it easier to interact with. This is ideal for anyone with a smaller computer and a USB port. I'm relieved to have found a disc drive and it will remain an essential to keep in my laptop case.

I plugged this CD DVD Drive in 3 times. The third time I plugged it in, my Mac computer could not read it. In addition, I had a CD in the drive so of course I could not retrieve the CD. The CD had photos from a trip my husband and I made to Italy in 2003 and other personal data. I could not send this faulty piece of equipment back with my personal information trapped inside it. I took it to my son-in-law's house and he used his PC to try to read it. Again, it failed to read. He had to break the drive apart to retrieve my CD. $40 completely wasted.

Reasonably priced CD/DVD burner I use on my Mac to import some old CD music I want with relying on streaming or limitations from certain downloads. I bought this music once! No need to pay for it again!

I was having trouble with a previous well-reviewed drive and needed a replacement. This drive is easy to work with (plug and play) and has burned many disks error-free. Works well with Toast software. I have used this drive to burn audio CDs as well as file DVDs.

This is advertised as a USB C product. It is not. It comes with a USB2 to micro USB cable. The instruction manual is nonexistent. It states that it is compliant so Windows and MAX OS computers but contains no info on usage. It worked the first time and I was able to rip and audio CD but it took over 20 min. I am using it with a 2019 iMac with 3.6 GHz Intel Core i9 Processor, and 64 G of ram. I am going to return to Amazon and purchase a name brand drive.
