I bought these one evening when I was craving something sweet. When I had my first taste I was a little disappointed because I didn’t think that they tasted much like maple syrup. I didn’t give up on them however because I had a 2.2 pound bag that I didn’t want to waste, nor did I want to return them. It’s not that they tasted “bad,” it’s that the flavor wasn’t as strong of a maple flavor as I anticipated. Well, as you can tell by my 5 star rating, I grew to like the taste. To summarize, these are a delicious individually wrapped sweet hard candy the shape of a maple leaf and the color of clear brown pancake syrup. They have nice smooth rounded edges and the overall texture is smooth as well. These little candies are just the perfect size to fit comfortably in your mouth. The most important part ie. the flavor, I find unique. If you are expecting a strong maple syrup flavor you should know that my opinion is that they only have a mild maple flavor. Otherwise they have a flavor of their own. But despite lthe candies being only of a mild maple flavor, they are quite delicious and I recommend them. That is, if you’re looking for a hard candy that has a unique flavor. One warning however, they can become addicting, but I’m not complaining. Enjoy!

Why did you pick this product vs others?: I bought these from this seller because they were half the price. That makes it a great value for the money. The bag is HUGE!! Ive been trying to find a good price on the maple candy that is soft but it's all way out of my price range. I decided to give the hard candies a try and let me tell you...they are like having the soft candies only they last longer. What more could you want.....My family are huge Maple folks and they couldn't get over the taste. Soooo good that I've purchased another bag. They are great to keep in your purse or vehicle if you are diabetic.

As far as I can tell, these are an exact match for the ones I bought in Canada, and are exactly as labelled: maple syrup plus enough added glucose to solidify into a hard candy when cooked. Note: If left in a car in a heat wave these nat melt out of shape -- but they do *not* get stuck to their individual wrappers! I love the soft maple-cream candies, but it's hard for me to ration my intake of those. These last a while, so I eat fewer and am less inclined to immediately grab more. These seem to be being packaged under several brands. I'd really like to know who the actual manufacturer is, but I don't mind paying retail price for convenience.

They’re absolutely delicious — rich, smooth, and full of that pure maple syrup flavor. If you ever find yourself craving something sweet and maple-y, these are exactly what you need. Plus, they’re individually wrapped, which makes them perfect for sharing or gifting (if you can resist eating them all yourself!). Highly recommend for any maple lover out there!

I discovered these at a little gas station in northern New Hampshire. I realized afterwards by the way they were packaged that they're a mass-produced item and not something made locally, so I was happy to find this giant bag on Amazon. If you love maple syrup, then you'll definitely like these. They're basically a little hard blob of maple syrup that slowly melts. They last probably 20 minutes each. I like them just as sugar/candy, but they would be good for a sore or dry throat as well. This bag is massive- there's probably at least 100 in a bag, so it will last quite a long time.
