I have used reading glasses for a few years, initially when I realised that the slightly blurred newsprint in the Guardian was not due to poor quality printing - the red tops were fine as their pint was a larger type size! So, after a trip to the optician I emerged with a pair of reading glasses, and Lo! Perfect eyesight was restored. Anyway, I lost the first pair and six months later sat on my second pair. Living in the Outer Hebrides this was, to say the least, a bit problematic as at that time there was no local optician on the island. Anyway, by chance on a visit to the mainland I found that Sainsburys had an in store optician an I was able to have a very quick eye test and bought two pairs pair of glasses from them at less than 10% of the high street optician. Anyway - cutting a long story short - it was the realisation that you did not have to buy your glasses from an optician - would not suggest that you don’t get your eyes properly checked - that was a total game changer! This five pack cost less than 10% of what the equivalent glasses would have cost over the counter of a high street optician. Optical quality is excellent, frames are conservative in style, and build quality is high. Needless to say, value for money is excellent. It is the comfort of having an immediate spare pair on hand that is, however, the clincher. Now… where did I leave my specs?

Very good, sturdy reading glasses. Precise specification. Tolerant to mishandling. For an economy solution, they are probably the best.

These are great quality and value, and the selection of colours is good - Gunmetal, Silver, Black, Bronze. For reading glasses, the depth of focus is much better than other off the shelf reading glasses I have tried, but the VDU glasses are pointless unless you spend your life on your phone or tablet. At a correct distance from a VDU screen (Arms length), these are well outside their focal depth. I would have expected these to have a different focal range. The tint is good however and cuts a lot of blue light from your phone or tablet. Packaging is plastic bags, a cloth pouch for each pair would be nice, comes with a cleaning cloth

Excellent quality

It's tedious that many other multi-packs are all of the type that block blue light, when actually this would increase eye strain in normal reading. However at night or just before going to bed, the blue light blockers actually work well, so this pack is ideal as there are 4 untinted glasses and one tinted set. The quality is really good, both of the frames and the (real) glass (not plastic) lenses, and they've now found their way everywhere from the bedside table (tinted) to my coats for reading menus!

Preiswerte und sehr gute Brillen für den Alltag! Da ich ständig Brillen verlege und mich oft draufsetze, sind duese günstigen ein Segen. Qualität: gute Quali, robustes Metallgestell, 31g schwer, mit Federscharnier. Die Gläser sind sehr klar und haben einen guten Schliff. Ich teste Billig-Brillen indem ich sie auf halbe Armlänge vor mir halte und auf gestreiftem Muster in mittlerer Ferne einäugig durch schaue und leicht bewege. Wenn das Streifenmuster Wellen wirft beim bewegen, sind die Gläser ungleichmäßig geschliffen und sehr augenschädlich! Dann lieber entsorgen! Diese hier sind sehr sehr gut!! Von mir gibts eine klare Kaufenpfehlung! Die Bügel musste ich wie immer an meinen breiteren Kopf anpassen. Das geht recht gut wenn man es vorsichtig macht, aber der Rahmen ist aus gehärtetem Stahl. Also mit kontrollierter Kraft biegen, langsam und mit öfterem Kontrollieren. Neben dem Gelenk habe ich ein t-shirt umwickelt und mit der Spitz-Zange vorsichtig aufgebogen. Die anderen Rundungen habe ich zwischen den Fingern gebogen. Das geht recht gut, ist aber ziemlich harter Stahl. Guter Stahl ist ja gut! Die gelben Linsen filtern angenehm und effektiv Blaulicht der Bildschirme. Sofort Kaufen!!!

Après deux jours d’utilisation ces lunettes sont très agréables. Bien plus claire et sans distorsion que d’autre lunette moins chères. Je les utilise au travail et elle teste bien dans l’encolure de mon t-shirt quand je ne les utilise pas.
