Works wonderful for controlling a digital LED output.
My wife and I purchased studio seating. The studio seating was equipped with Bluetooth speakers. Our problem was the fact that our television was not Bluetooth and only had a digital output.Using just the digital output and converting it to Bluetooth we were unable to control the volume. The digital output of the television is fixed and you were not able to change the volume up or down. This product really works great. The remote control works adequately. Most of all my wife and I can now sit in our studio seating and change the volume on our speakers for the seating/Bluetooth.I asked countless people for a product like this and my local big box store said it did not exist. But came in to Amazon though.Works great. My living room is approximately 20 x 20 and works perfect.

OK budget DAC if sound quality isn't critical
This was the second cheap DAC that I tried. It was better than the first one, but... The remote worked at a distance of 10 feet, but it is very cheap and flimsy feeling. The single biggest problem with the volume control is that it starts by dropping the volume from the source and can only make it softer. I had to turn the gain on my amplifier up a lot to get a good listening level and if I then changed inputs to something mot using the DAC the volume was blasting. The unit has 3 sound modes, selectable on the remote. The first one sounds like other cheap DACs, very muffled. The middle choice was better, but still sounded muffled. The 3rd choice on the right sounded much clearer and at first I thought I had a winner until I realized it also cut a lot of the midrange and boosted the highs. On a positive note, the unit is in a nice metal case with enough heft that the weight of attached cables don't move it around. The switches and ports on the unit feel good and the overall construction feels solid. If you are just trying to get some audio from your tv toslink to basic audio equipment, it's ok. But if you are at all critical about sound quality, you do need to spend more. The next level of quality starts around $100, but these units don't include remote controls. After a lot of research I finally bit the bullet and got a Topping D50s. My amplifier has a toslink input, but no remote control which is why I wanted a DAC with a remote volume control. The Topping D50s actually sounds better than the DAC built into my amplifier.

Have Earbuds With NO Volume Control?
Well if you do, this little piece of equipment is exactly what you need. I had been trying to use the TV volume control on my TOZO earbuds. Thanks to another post on this product, I got the idea that this would also work for me. As you can see, my bluetooth transmitter sits on top of the convertor. Not shown is the little remote control for the convertor. I used an optical feed into the convertor and a 3.5mm cord from it to the bluetooth transmitter. It works GREAT. I suppose I could have bought another pair of earbuds with volume control built into them, but I like a challenge. lol.

Conversion Quality and Answer to Remote of Digital to Analog Converter,Musou Toslink
I use this device , for converting optical digital TV output, to analog audio, as audio input for a headphone and also, for a suplimentar audio amplifierIt works well in this arangement (I never used the coaxial input and neither the RCA output,so I don't know anything about these optional arragements!)A bought it about three month ago and, until now, the converter works well and , also, answers well to Remote Control comands, on most of its functions. But I have to note here, that the three options offered for the type of sound (MUSIC,SPEECH, etc.),are not particularly effective, no big difference between the three modes could be observed !)Personally , I am rather satisfied with this ,Musou Toslink ,product !Jack Cohen,PhDTel Aviv,Israel

Mono output - no stereo
Device hooked up easily, optical to TV, RCA to DVD player. Remote works well from 15 feet away - no idea what those complaints are about. My issue is that I'm only getting one channel from my external speakers - a big disappointment. Tried it with a set of standard headphones - same result. If anyone has any insight (to why I'm such an idiot that I can't seem to hook it up properly :-) ), I'd be happy to hear it.

Works as advertised
Works well, but on my Samsung TV's Plex app you mostly just get distorted buzzing sounds. That's an issue with the Plex app and not this product though. All other apps and inputs on the TV work perfect with this.

Noisy little guy.
Cheap device for what I needed, but unfortunately the audio is uneven and has a weird high pitch feedback

okay converter, loud noise at power off
DAC converter function acceptable; effects are unimpressive; volume steps are overlarge; puts an unfortunate loud pop-crackle through speakers when power is shut off. If speaker cone preservation is a concern, a different converter should be considered.
